Rearrangements Made
So I reorganized the information quite a bit. I also moved a good deal of the information to the Gummi Ship article, as it really had more to do with space travel than the blocks themselves. I think that article (Gummi Ship) also needs some improvement, namely about piloting and constructing Gummi ships, but I may get to that after this one is done. --Zephyrus11 03:56, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Star Fragments?
Where is it confirmed they're a type of Gummi Block? 24.165.55.99 09:29, February 18, 2010 (UTC)
Star Jelly
This is only a phenomenon, but I think we should add a mention of this. It's possible that Nomura based gummi blocks on star jelly.
Star Shard
This article still has the suggest for move template. So should it be moved or not? Chitalian8
Impossible
About merging Star Shards with Gummi Blocks.
No.
Gummi Blocks do not look anything like star shards. 1 thing, even though they are related, its still more with Gummi Ships then Gummi Blocks. Star Shards get you somewhere, Gummi Ships get you to where you can and Gummi Blocks only make Gummi Ships. Both Gummi Blocks and Star Shards should be merged into Gummi Ships. 2nd of all, Mr, do Gummi Blocks have stars in them? Little thing sticking out? Gummi Blocks are cubes of redness. Star Shards are mickeys property (not really) and they are stars with a star in them and a strange little yellow thing pointing out in the place where one of the edges are!
Either leave it alone, or merge both Star Shards and Gummi Blocks into Gummi Ships.
Thank u. Donottouchme 00:28, 7 April 2012 (UTC) also sorry if it doesnt make sense i have only played birth by sleep.
- I think it was merged because leaving Star Shards as it's own article left a very, very small article with nothing else to add. Ergo, it is more sensible to merge it into a Gummi related article. As for your argument that both Star Shards and Gummi Blocks should be merged into Gummi Ships...Bad idea. Mixing that much stuff onto an already full article would create a unnecessary large article. Having the Blocks/Shards separated is a lot neater and more organized. Kinda like what we do with character boss fights, we don't add on to the character's article, we link to a boss/enemy article. Also, this is a general rule of advice, don't be a smart aleck. It's not cute or funny and only makes your agrument annoying and less convincing. So what a star shard is a different shape/color? Lame argument point.--Xion4ever 00:58, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
- According to the Ansem Reports, Gummi Blocks are made from Star Shards. Even if they have a different physical appearance, they're the same basic thing."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 02:32, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
Split
I think Star Shard should be split from this page. There's no evidence that Star Shards are Gummi blocks, only an assumption because the two are related to travel. Ansem's Reports don't say anything about Star Shards, only the Gummi Blocks come from the destruction of the barriers of the worlds, and that when that destruction happens, it appears as a meteor shower, or shooting stars, but not Star Shards. In fact, they only appear as shooting stars, but they aren't even stars, they're fragments of the world barrier. So, Star Shard should be split off. KeybladeSpyMaster 18:01, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- "Opening the door to a world's heart causes its walls to crumble. These fragments are seen as shooting stars. This explains why these "gummi blocks" can travel freely to other worlds."
- Throughout the script for KHBBS, it is referred to as a "shooting star". It allows the King to travel between worlds without a Keyblade Glider, just as the Gummi Blocks are described in the Reports. Its made obvious that it is a precursor to controlled Gummi Ships."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:52, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Gummi Bears
I think we're missing the clear inspiration here. Not that this fits in the storyline so far revealed in the games, but I'm pretty sure Gummi Blocks are meant to reference Gummi Bears. Namely, the Disney cartoon. For those who haven't heard of the show, here's a link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97QkO7nAn68 I for one just want to know what a gummi ship tastes like. I'm starting to think I might be old. 98.160.111.83 22:09, 5 December 2015 (UTC)DJ
