At the last Roundtable, Chainoffire had suggested that we consider a partnership/"super duper affiliation"/merge with KH13.com (we're not entirely sure what to call this weird but awesome combining of sites). The basics of it are that they become a part of The Greater Wiki, in a sense. They link to us in video walkthroughs, we link to them, etc. It would take care of the video walkthrough issue we constantly have. At the same time, this would also in a sense take care of the news aspect that has been mentioned a couple times with Operation: Keychain. They basically become our "official" news source, and supply the video walkthroughs (in addition to whatever walkthroughs we come up with, if we ever do). In exchange, we (The Kingdom Hearts Wiki-verse, or whatever we're calling it) become their wiki. So what do you guys think? Should we do it?

Are they willing to partner with us?

Would this mean scrapping your affiliation with Kingdom Hearts Insider? (Excuse me if that has been cancelled since the last Roundtable. I do recall a mention that you had a partnership with them involving You Tube videos, or something of the sort... I can't find them on your affiliates page however, so I'm likely going off on one...) Besides that, I'd be all for our 'Greater Wiki' affiliating with KH13. It'd be beneficial both for us, as they are quite a prominent Kingdom Hearts news site, and I believe also for them, as they'd have wikis to refer to that they might previously have given thought to or used for information. We don't currently have an affiliation with Kingdom Hearts Insider, though it was something that has been under consideration. Under this, we wouldn't necessarily have to end any affiliation, we just wouldn't do anything more. It'd be a simple affiliation like any other site, not a partnership like what's being proposed here. I don't know if we could be partners with both, and if it makes sense to do so anyways (I think it'd be great to be partners with KHInsider, in addition to KH13, personally). As someone pointed out to me in a previous roundtable, partnering with two news sites could be seen as offensive or in bad taste. We should hold onto one and build a healthy relationship with that one site first, while keeping the other as a potential affiliate but nothing more. TheFifteenthMember 16:37, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

I still think it's distasteful to partner with two news sites. If we're devoted and loyal to one site, a healthier relationship with flourish between us. We can still have KHInsider as a regular affiliate (which is a "lesser" bond) anyway. This is a possible hierarchy of the KHWikiverse:

1. Members: The four Kingdom Hearts Wikis
2. Partners: KH13, anyone else we wanna work with.
3. Affiliates: KHInsider, anyone else we wanna advertise with.

Let's think about this. Affiliates mean that we are on friendly terms with a site, and are likely willing to share material in true Creative Commons fashion. Partners mean that we are working on a deeper level. What is stopping us having an affiliation with both KHInsider and KH13? Yes, both of these sites want to call dibs first on Kingdom Hearts news, but that doesn't mean that one has to be out of the fraternity because the other is. However, both of them will have to be on friendly terms with each other if they are to be our affiliates both at the same time. The two have worked together in the past, after all (see joint interview of Tetsuya Nomura from December 2014 North American Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Launch Event). There's another option, too. We can make the partnerships by site rather than the whole Kingdom Hearts Wiki-verse (so we're sticking with that, huh?). After all, the Kingdom Hearts Wiki-verse isn't supposed to make the three sites (or however many sites ultimately make this up) one site. All three sites are still separate sites that work together on things, but that doesn't make them one mega-site on all counts. So, we can have one site partner with KH13, and the other with KHInsider, if we wanted to.

I remember at the last roundtable I went to (which was a couple months ago- yikes!) we decided that if KHInsider never got back to us, we would talk to KH13. Truth be told, I don't see a problem with being affiliates or partners with both sites at once. I say we start with an affiliation first and then, as time progresses, slowly transform into partnerships if those two sites want to do so. I mean, c'mon, I'm willing to lay dollars to donuts that those guys look at our information just as much as we look at theirs. I think we're all in agreement that affiliating- in the least, linking back to each other- is a good idea. Now we have to determine how we want to contact both sites. Any thoughts on that?
