Deep Freeze (フリーズ, Furīzu, lit. "Freeze"), also dubbed as Freeze, is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. It allows the user to freeze surrounding enemies in a block of ice. If frozen enemies are struck, extra damage is dealt.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Deep Freeze is an Ultimate magic command that takes up two slots in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 5 and a normal reload time of 20 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 35%.

In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Deep Freeze is a magic command that uses two slots in the Command Deck and has a reload time of 32 seconds.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

• Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can create Deep Freeze through Command Melding.
• Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can purchase Deep Freeze from the Command Shop for 2200 munny once the Command has already been obtained elsewhere.
• Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can obtain Deep Freeze from a Bonus Panel on the Toon Board, located on the uppermost center panel of the board.
• Aqua can obtain Deep Freeze through her Crown Stickers for 80 points.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

• Sora or Riku can purchase Deep Freeze from the Skelterwild Ability Link for 700 Link Points.
• Sora or Riku can purchase Deep Freeze from the Majik Lapin Ability Link for 460 Link Points.
• Sora and Riku can purchase Deep Freeze from the Medal Shop for 1200 medals after reaching Shop Level 5.

Deep Freeze is a Ultimate-class Magic Command that can be melded through three different recipes, listed in the Giga Magic Recipe.

• The first recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, or Aqua and is a type H recipe.
  • Binding Strike (LV3) + Blizzaga (LV4)
• The second recipe can be melded by Terra, Ventus, or Aqua and is a type G recipe.
  • Freeze Raid (LV4) + Blizzaga (LV4)
• The third recipe can only be melded by Aqua, and is a type F recipe.
  • Triple Blizzaga (LV4) + Blizzaga (LV4)

Trivia

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, the command description of Deep Freeze notes that extra damage is dealt if the user attacks a frozen enemy. This is a typo however, as normal damage is dealt no matter what attack or command is used.
