In Kingdom Hearts II, Sora uses Explosion as a combo finisher that damages and knocks back enemies.

Explosion (エクスプロージョン Ekusupurōjon?) is an ability that appears in Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. It allows the user to create an explosion of light that knocks down nearby enemies.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts II, Explosion is an action ability which provides Sora with a combo finisher in which he brings down his Keyblade, generating a revolving circle of exploding orbs of light. The damage inflicted on enemies depends on the Magic stat. It costs 3 AP to equip.

 
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Explosion is used as a powerful Finish Command.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Explosion is a Level 5 Finish command. The user charges energy briefly before slamming their Keyblade down, creating a large rippling shockwave of light that stuns foes.
