The Eternal Flames is a pair of Chakrams that can be wielded by Axel in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II, the Eternal Flames is his only weapon. Lea uses the Eternal Flames in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

Design

An Eternal Flames Chakram has a circular main wheel with a black, cross-shaped handle. The edge of the main wheel sports four spikes shaped like the spikes on the Nobody sigil and a small ring that is bisected by the main wheel. Another spike identical to the other four is attached to each of these rings, making a total of eight spikes. The interior of the main wheel and the outer edge of the half of each of the four rings that are on the interior of the wheel are red, as are the inner edges of the other halves of the rings. The rest of the chakram is silver.

Gameplay

The Eternal Flames are one of Axel's strongest sets of Chakrams. When they are equipped, his ground combo involves a left-to-right slash, followed by the combo finisher, a straight throw of the Eternal Flames into the enemy. Axel's aerial combo begins with a right-to-left slash, the combo finisher involving a cross-slash as the Chakrams encircle Axel. If one presses   when the on-screen prompt appears after the first two hits of Axel's ground combo, he will instead perform the finisher of his aerial combo.
