World Cards are types of cards in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories that are made out of Sora's memories of the worlds he has traveled to in the previous Kingdom Hearts game.

Made by members of Organization XIII, the World Cards are used to open the different floors within Castle Oblivion, and the floor a World Card is used on takes on the appearance of the world on the card.

All the World Cards do not become available all at once. They come in sets, with the exception of the first card, Traverse Town. The first set of cards that are received towards the start of the game are Wonderland, Agrabah, Olympus Coliseum, Halloween Town, and Monstro. The second set of cards received upon completion of the first five worlds is comprised of 100 Acre Wood, Atlantica, Hollow Bastion, and Neverland. The third and final set of cards is received upon completion of the second set of worlds and these cards include Destiny Islands, Twilight Town, and Castle Oblivion(Which appears as a World Card in Riku's Story).

Trivia

  • Although Sora, Donald, and Goofy visited the world Deep Jungle, it is not a card or a "world" you visit in Chain of Memories. This could be because it was visited accidentally. Also, because the estate of Edgar Rice Burroughs was still holding copyright over "Tarzan", the Deep Jungle episode could no longer be used by Square Enix and Disney.
  • During cutscenes in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, the Destiny Islands card shows the newer world design rather than the one used in the original version, however, once you actually receive the card, the design from the original game is shown to be on the card instead. The reason for this is unknown.
  • While Castle Oblivion is only a world in Sora's Story, it is an actual World Card in Riku's Story.
