KrytenKoro - "That's when we bumped into Hannity. Sean Hannity. See the thing about this dude is, at first he's fair, right? And you're like "Wow!" But then BOOM. The dude's balanced, too. And you're like, HOLY SHIT."

*As you can see, the template is quite tall. I'm not sure how to get it to be side-by-side, though if everyone likes it tall like this, never mind.
  • The Jiminy image still needs to be fixed, if we even want to use it.
  • The category switch needs to be implemented, and most importantly
  • I can only get the entire box to hide, instead of each entry like User:Yuanchosaan/Sandbox does.
  • IE is incompatible with many elements of Monaco's coding.

If anyone can help me fix these, I would be very grateful.

*fail*

I still see the text to the right cut off. Someone said it was because that's the way it shows in IE. IE is plain evil. I do like how it looks like, makes the journal look nicer, even if I prefer how the journal entries look just the way they are right now.

sorry Krytenkoro, i dont like it. In fact, i think the idea itself is uselss. What we have now for journal entries works perfectly

I don't know how to convince you, then. To me, though, the current setup looks hideous - stuff like Beast, where it looks more like a sprawl of text than a unified excerpt or page out of a book, or how there is no delineation of the "appears in" bit, making it seem like part of the actual story to someone unfamiliar with the character.

How about this - let me address the problems listed here (I'll need some coding help from Yuanchosaan, though), and I'll try it out on a sandbox page. Then we can see how it looks when in use. Deal?

Hm... as Azul said, the problem takes place among IE users. It wouldn't be practical for most of us to switch browsers (my RAM is already at boiling point), so can someone like, try edit this in IE until the text is clearly seen ?

Apparently, the same problem takes place with Template:Messagebox.

In my point of view, the Journal template isn't so bad... only that it needs an aesthetic change. It's because of the plain green colour (without anything else) and its width that I prefer the written-out journal entries a lot better. (I was thinking of the tables on Rocco's user page, does that sound like a good idea ?)

The idea itself, a template for somethign so small, just seems superfluous
