480MS.png Now, before we get to work on the walkthrough for Kingdom Hearts II, we need to gather a few rules and such. Most worlds have two storyline trips, and only Disney Castle, Timeless River and The World That Never Was have one trip each (in the case of the former, the brief trip to Hollow Bastion does not count, as once you land there, a long cutscene will begin, and when you regain control, you'll be back in Disney Castle. Also, after defeating Pete in Timeless River, you'll return, but it's only a cutscene, as you'll end up back in the Gummi Ship once you regain control).

I don't know whether to list both trips in one page, or give a page for each trip (eg: Halloween Town I, then later Halloween Town II). I see this as the easiest way, as putting it all in one page can get confusing, and, in the cases with certain worlds (eg: Beast's Castle), can be a spoiler for first-time players.

Also, there are six trips to 100 Acre Wood, and five trips to Atlantica, and none of them involve any Heartless (exept in the first trip to the latter, where some Soldiers steal the book). Also, Hollow Bastion's got the highest concern, as during the first trip to 100 Acre Wood, you'll only have breif control of Sora whe you enter the book, then after being thrown out of it (due to Donald's magic summoning Sora), you'll have a battle with a small group of Heartless. After exiting the book, and learning how to summon, "Trina" (really a help text, but I think of it as Trina from AHT) will explain how to use the summon, and after reading the text, you'll be returned to the Gummi Ship. Should these brief trips have their own pages, or be part of the first page for the 100 Acre Wood? Same with Disney Castle and Space Paranoids (in the latter's case, after leaving that world following the activation of the Terminal, you'll be in HB for around ten minutes, mostly for cutscene purposes. I also know that you cannot leave the Reserch Lab until you defeat the Hostile Program).

Does this infomation sound helpful to you guys? I've wrote it with words that anyone can understand, and being very honest.

All trips to the same world will be on one page; the major episodes will have subsections of the page (level 2), and other stuff along the lines of "when you return, you can get the Lady Luck" will be in a final "when you return" section.

678FMS.png Are you sure? Some worlds have spoiler alerts (such as Beast's Castle, due to the death of Xaldin). And I think it's easier to seperate trips to make things less confusing. But, it's up to you. But let's wait for Erry's comment first.

We can put links at the end of the first visit section. Something like:

--First Visit--

Blah blah stuff
...After you defeated Shan-Yu, Sora will unlock the gate to the next world. From here, you can choose to visit Beast's Castle, or the newly unlocked Olympus Coliseum.

Click here to visit Beast's Castle >>>>
Click here to visit Olympus Coliseum >>>>

(we put some spacing here, probably 2 or 3 rows)

--Second Visit--

Blah blah more stuff.

710MS.png Okay. But first, we need to look into the (forced) trip to 100 Acre Wood (where the pages are stolen and Pooh Bear loses his memories), and determin on what to do with the Hollow Bastion parts, as well as the visit at HB during the Heartless invasion at Disney Castle and during the brief ten minutes between the first two trips to Space Paranoids. Should HB have this counted? I think so for the former and latter, but upon entering it during DC's event, you'll be forced to watch a cutscene and then be automatically taken back to DC.

No spoiler alerts. Absolutely no got-dang spoiler alerts.

Anything on a world is covered on that world's page. If you've read the Pokemon player's guides, it's a lot like that: a main "first time you're here" guide, and then subsections similar to "When you return with HM04 STRENGTH", etc. Putting HB stuff on the 100 Acre Wood page is just going to make it more difficult for people trying to see if they've done all the HB stuff, for instance.

678FMS.png I try to put in as little story in the walkthroughs as possible. About HB, I'm already lost with that part of the story, y'know.

What about interruption links like that one I said earlier?

Battles blah blah
...After Sora retrieved Pooh's book, the book seems to be damaged. Merlin then asks Sora to check inside the book if anything goes wrong. And now, we need to do a little trip to 100 Acre Wood!

Click here to go to the 100 Acre Wood! >>>>

As for the Torn Pages side quest and other side quests, we can make them optional by maybe putting a special side-quest box, something with

"Now that you have obtained the second Torn Page, you can do a little side quest to the 100 Acre Woods!

Click here to do a little side quest at the 100 Acre Wood! >>>>"

written on it.

480MS.png Suppose that will work. Thanks, 17m! I'll get on with the walkthrough soon. Any more ideas that should be added?

IHm1Edc.png Well I was thinking for second visits we'd have Walkthrough:Traverse Town/First Visit, Walkthrough:Traverse Town/Second Visit, etc. with Walkthrough:Traverse Town being the main page, sort of like a table of contents for the various pages. Unless that'd just clutter it up. This is only to comply with spoilers, however it is possible to put them all in one page and put a warning of that reading further will lead to spoilers.

Okay, first off, spoilers cannot and will not be avoided on these things. Obviously, we're not going to be putting stuff from BbS within the KHI guide, but just like our in-universe policy, any information presented at that part of the game is absolutely fair game for the walkthrough to cover. A "plot-free" walkthrough is both useless and incredibly boring to read.

On regards multiple visits, though:

It would be quite easy to simply make a collapsible div template that wraps each of the "when you return after X" sections. Like our navboxes and the Keyblade wielders page, we could have a little colorful box after the first episode info that says something like this:

When you return after the battle of Hollow Bastion
Jack is like, a Santa now, or something. Totally. And you gotta kill like some kind of giant transforming robot, I think it's one of those Japanese "Gundoos".

I also like 17masters idea of having those links after each section, though most of the time you're not going to go to a specific world, especially in KHII. The 100 Acre Wood/Hollow Bastion stuff would definitely need it (though Template:Go should have some style and font to it to make it look more like a button, perhaps like the "Go to world map" reaction command prompt), but for the various world episodes, it's just going to be something like "return to world map" (which should also be a page).

Also: Given each world gets a single walkthrough article for each game, the world template should be revised to have a (VISIBLE) list of the walkthrough articles. Something that draws the eye, so people can find it. (On that note, the song part of the template could use some jazzing up, more of a Disney-ish party design, with music notes and some zazz.)
