Critical Boost
Critical Boost (クリティカルアップ Kuritikaru Appu , lit. "Critical Up"), also dubbed as Critical Plus, is an ability that appears in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. It boosts the user's ability to deal critical hits to enemies.
Mechanics[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts, Critical Plus is a combat ability that boosts the user's critical hit rate by a factor of 1+n, where n represents the number of Critical Plus abilities equipped. It costs 3 AP to equip, 2 AP in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix.
In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Critical Boost is an equipment ability that allows the user to potentially deal critical hits with any kind of attack.
In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Critical Plus is an accessory ability that allows the user to deal more critical hits when their HP is reduced to 25%.
Learning Critical Boost[edit]
Kingdom Hearts[edit]
- Sora learns Critical Plus at levels 21, 69, and 90 with the Dream Rod; levels 48, 78, and 90 with the Dream Sword; and levels 51, 69, and 90 with the Dream Shield.
- Tarzan has Critical Plus as a default ability.
- Aladdin has Critical Plus as a default ability.
- Peter Pan has Critical Plus as a default ability.
- Beast has Critical Plus as a default ability.
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix[edit]
- Sora learns Critical Plus at levels 48 and 75 with the Dream Shield, levels 84 and 99 with the Dream Sword, and levels 96 and 100 with the Dream Rod; he also learns it after completing the Hercules Cup alone.
- Tarzan has Critical Plus as a default ability.
- Aladdin has Critical Plus as a default ability.
- Peter Pan has Critical Plus as a default ability.
- Beast has Critical Plus as a default ability.
