Aerial Recovery (エアリカバリー Ea Rikabarī , lit. "Air Recovery") is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts II. It allows the user to upright themselves after being knocked into the air by an enemy attack.
Mechanics[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts II, Aerial Recovery is a support ability triggered by pressing , in the Japanese releases, after getting knocked into the air. It costs 2 AP to equip. In contrast to Retaliating Slash, Sora is granted brief invulnerability when performing Aerial Recovery, and can parry enemy attacks.
In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Aerial Recovery is an ability panel that can be leveled up from Aerial Recovery LV1 to Aerial Recovery LV2 and Aerial Recovery LV3 by linking A. Recovery LV+ Ⓛ (リカバリーアップⓁ Rikabarī Appu Ⓛ , lit. "Recovery Up Ⓛ") panels. It is triggered by pressing after getting knocked into the air. At higher levels it can be activated more quickly after taking a hit and the user recovers movement and action capability faster afterwards.
In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Aerial Recovery is a Bonus Booster ability that is triggered by pressing after getting knocked back.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, Aerial Recovery is a reprisal command that is triggered by pressing , in the Japanese releases, after getting knocked into the air. It can be equipped in place of a Payback-type command.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Aerial Recovery is a reprisal command that is triggered by pressing after getting knocked back. It can be equipped in place of a Payback-type command. It grants +1 to Defense when attached to a Dream Eater recipe.
In Kingdom Hearts III, Aerial Recovery is an action ability that costs 2 AP to equip. It is triggered by pressing , in the Japanese releases, after getting knocked into the air.

- Roxas learns Aerial Recovery after defeating the Dusks at the Station of Serenity.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days[edit]
- Aerial Recovery can be purchased for 270 Heart Points once Roxas is promoted to Novice rank.
- Aerial Recovery ③ can be purchased for 2400 Heart Points once Roxas is promoted to Agent rank.
- A. Recovery LV+ Ⓛ can be obtained from a chest at Halloween Town Square in Mission 54 and from a chest at the Tea Party Garden in Mission 55.

- Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can purchase Aerial Recovery from the Medal Shop for 320 medals.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance[edit]
- Sora and Riku can purchase Aerial Recovery from the Moogle Shop for 400 munny (320 munny during Bargain Flurry) at Shop Level 6 or higher.
- Sora and Riku can purchase Aerial Recovery as a drop bonus for 30 DP at Shop Level 4 or higher.
