Quests are a feature appearing in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. Data-Sora is given quests from certain characters while in Questploration mode, which allows Data-Sora to roam a world freely and battle the Heartless that are found there. Questploration is unlocked for each world, except Hollow Bastion II and Castle Oblivion, after the world's story is completed. Additional System Sectors can be found while in Questploration if the player's Scan level is high enough.
Each world with a Questploration option available, excluding Hollow Bastion I, has one character who assigns three quests. Quests involve finding a specific key item, either from System Sectors, shops or boss rewards, and returning it to the owner in exchange for a reward.
