For the interest of everyone else, here's the current status of the disbandment of SEIWA. I'll be updating this whenever something happens:

As the person from the Draqon Quest Wiki pointed out, SEIWA was managed by bud001. We should contact him too; anyone know how to reach him?

Apparently, there's some disagreement/opposition at the Strategy Wiki to disbanding SEIWA. So there's that.

After much thinking the last couple days, I'm beginning to wonder if disbanding SEIWA is such a good idea after all. Maybe, all we need to do is revive it and organize it in such a way that it brings together and promotes the affiliated sites, without needing to do much "daily" work, the kind of work that is done on the wikis everyday. Like establish a permanent kinda thing that we can still check-up on and update regularly, but doesn't require the kind of maintenance and work this or the other SEIWA wikis require. Perhaps (and I had contemplated this before the Roundtable), we should open it up to all wikis, regardless of independence (recreate it as SEWA)? I feel if we can get it to work on its own, it could be beneficial to all the wikis involved, and serve a better purpose than "Look at all these non-Wikia wikis. Yay." Some sort of solution. What's true is that it has to be dealt with; its current status is unsatisfactory.

Yes, we should go with the idea of reviving it, rather than close it. Though I'm totally against the idea of allowing wikis being unfortunate enough to be a part of for-profit wiki farms who only care about money to join us. It would go against the idea of why NIWA and SEIWA were formed in the first place...

Okay then, we're going for a revival instead of a disbandment. The Strategy Wiki shares the same view. In terms of the "SEWA" idea, I'm against it. If I'm not mistaken, the original purpose of SEIWA was to show that independent Wikis can be just as successful as wiki-farms so it'll be hypocritical to start accepting Wikia wikis as members too.

Good day everyone. For those of you who don't know me, I host the server SEIWA is currently residing on. I have had to retire from working on the site, forums and wikis for health and other reasons, but have asked my team to take over. While they are all capable members in terms of Wiki- and Server-related issues, they are short in the knowledge of the Square Enix company (franchises, partners, etc.). They are more than willing to help with whatever is needed. We just need help on the SE end.

Well, SEWA was just an idea to unite all the Square Enix wikis. However, if we can make do with just the independent ones, than that's great! As for the SE end, I think we can all pitch in and help. For example, the Square Enix Wiki, as I understand, is an extension of the SEIWA hub. Surely we can fill in the parts for our respective wikis and series' sections. I think that'd be it, since the independent wikis, I guess, are all "every wiki for itself". Of course, if there were a way to use SEIWA and its revival to encourage editing (without violating the "Independent" part) on the less-active wikis, than that's just as great, too! Now, how would such a revival take place? What is it that we need to do to pretty-up SEIWA take it to its goal?

CODE 0xKHWV001: SYSTEM START UP Well, it's been almost a month since we last touched this subject. I really want to do this, I just don't know what needs to be done, exactly. Like, how can we help to make this work? Independently, after a discussion on the IRC, we decided that one thing that definitely needs a change is SEIWA's main page [1]. So, I've gone ahead and made a mock draft of a design on Photoshop. Here they are: Draft 1 and Draft 2. I personally like Draft 2. Draft 1 is modeled somewhat after the NIWA site, but I chose to keep a solid dark background like the one currently present on the SEIWA site. Draft 2 simply rearranges the content so that it's not so NIWA-ish. I learned a little HTML/CSS in junior high, so I'm gonna try and build the design, at least. Or, you know, pretend I can.
There's one other thing. Something's wrong with the Square Enix Wiki. I can't sign-up for an account, neither can I edit anonymously. That should be changed, so that there's more activity possible.

Both drafts are gorgeous, but Draft 2 is better since it's more original. Your draft brings up another point: social media. Is there anything we can do with SEIWA, facebook, twitter, instagram, and tumblr-wise?
If I can go by this, it seems like account creation was disabled due to a vandal.
