Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png We have here the next part of MegaProject: Arise: The revival of Clean-Up of the Month! Clean-Up of the Month is hosted in Traverse Town in the Fountain. The idea is this: Much like Featured Article, the community will vote here every month on an article we feel needs to be improved. I've taken the liberty of choosing one for this month, appropriately Traverse Town. It's up to you guys to choose what article you feel should be chosen next. Then, when elected, it will hopefully serve as a starting place for new editors and even for experienced editors looking for something to do. So go! Vote for next month's Clean-Up of the Month! August 2014

  • Xehanort - Keeping in line with the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX theme, I think this is an article that deserves major refining. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 03:51, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

TheFifteenthMember Yes. You're creepy. I can't say we'll miss you while you're gone, so it'd be best if you did go. We all win that way. TheFifteenthMember 18:56, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
I was under the impression that the Clean-up of the Month is supposed to be for a group or category of pages (e.g. magic articles, manga characters, BBS shotlock commands etc.). Individual pages like Traverse Town and Xehanort are more fitting for work at the Featured Articles, where people sometimes suggest an article that needs minor tweaking and the problems are fixed during the month.

To be honest, I completely forgot we were adding this to Traverse Town but since we are we need to do establish it properly, meaning we need to have a main page, nomination/voting page and archives all under the "KHWiki: space". We should consider giving it its own page in Traverse Town that links to the "KHWiki:Clean Up of the Month" page that we should create. Anyone up for adding the "Secret Waterway" back into the Third District?

OPXion4EverIcon.png In general, yes, we did keep it to a category. However, since this month was spot of the moment, I'm cool with letting Traverse Town ride the rest of the month out and we pick up August with whatever we decide. Should we want to retain a group/category of pages, Xehanort can easily be changed into "Organization XIII members." If we're seeking an entirely new category...Lord knows the manga pages need some attention.

On the namespace: KSM and I discussed this on the IRC yesterday. He created this forum under my advice; I take the blame for any inconveniences/problems it causes people. One reason behind our logic was that more people look at forums than Traverse Town pages. At least, from what I see/read from our "older" editors. However, so long as someone promises to keep track of it on the mainspace- archiving, discussions, etc.- I'm cool with creating a KHWiki: version of it. As for a new page addition to Traverse Town...That is up for you guys to decide. To me, it is just another page I'll have to look at with one paragraph on it. I think we're okay leaving it at the Fountain.

TheFifteenthMember Ignoring how these caterpillars uttered what they're trying to say, I do agree.
For this month, yes, Traverse Town is okay. We need to sort this out to be prepared for next month, though. I do think the Clean Up of the Month should be a category so that we're getting the most benefit out of the projects. We should keep the categories low-key to avoid the month's workload from being too overwhelming.
Alrighty then. So, any proposals for next month? Xion4ever 20:19, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
A mini-project I'm focusing on is the creation or expansions of all Key Items. That's a possible thing we can do, perhaps, although I'm sure there are more urgent projects to do instead.
Also, if the Clean Up of the Month stays at the Fountain, the Third District image should mention it in the description of the Fountain. Personally, I would rather remake the Secret Waterway so that every Traverse Town page has their own distinct purpose or subject. Everyone else's opinions? Here's a list of ideas of what we can do for the next Clean Up:

  • Reformatting all stat articles.
  • Reformatting manga volume articles.
    • Or we can do "Reformatting manga character/chapter/all articles".
  • Reformatting key items.
  • Finishing off any of the old projects.

I'm going to make the KHWiki: Clean up of the Month articles after I receive responses for whether we're adding it to the main page and Traverse Town. But in the mean time, which project do you guys want to do I think we should finish one of the old projects? TheFifteenthMember 12:50, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

Definitely the old projects. There isn't much "everyone" can do with images...Though, I mean, we could do that. We should [probably] choose one with users already active on it. For examples/questions and such. Xion4ever 02:40, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
I'm fine with the old image project. We need a page with clear instructions of what to do, though.
Also for naming purposes, which name are we going for:
      • a) "Cleanup of the Month"
      • b) "Clean-up of the Month"
      • c) "Clean-Up of the Month"
      • d) "Clean Up of the Month"
      • e) "Clean up of the Month"
I think b looks the cleanest. TheFifteenthMember 11:39, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
EDIT: Also, should we consider adding voting/nominating for the Clean-up to the Chain of Rewards, probably before the Mirage Arena, edit 50 total edits? Hopefully by then, rookies will have the minimal experience required to understand the general structure of our policies, which will help them make the right decision when voting.
