"You can't give her that!" she screamed. "It's not safe!"
IT'S A SWORD, said the Hogfather. THEY'RE NOT MEANT TO BE SAFE.
"She's a child!" shouted Crumley.
IT'S EDUCATIONAL.
"What if she cuts herself?"
THAT WILL BE AN IMPORTANT LESSON.

I am currently on a Wiki-Break due to the unfortunate intrusion of real life. You are welcome to leave me messages, just understand they may not be seen for a while. If it is a serious situation, please contact one of the other staff members.
Hi, y'all. Just another Kingdom Hearts fan here.
You'll also find me occasionally on the White Wolf Wiki and rarely on the MST3K Wiki. Gee, wonder if this makes me some sort of nerd?
I do try to check in at least once a day to perform my staff duties, more sometimes if I'm actively working on a page or project. However, I am a full-fledged adult, at least according to the United States government, and as a result things in my real life become a little more important than wiki editing. You know, family, job, pets, non-video game related hobbies, the usual stuff.
What Am I Working On?
I'm currently working on the following items on the wiki.
Anyone is welcome to join in at any time. I encourage it, actually. It keeps my horrific spelling in check.
Talk Bubbles
Every once in a while, I'll get a message similar to this on my talk page: "OMG, where did you get your sprite? Daisy wasn't in Chain of Memories...was she?!?" For a big hint, check out the image's name...
The answer is no, she was not. It's a sprite edit, made by yours truly. ^_^ The quote is from Terry Pratchett's wonderful book, Wintersmith.
This one is also a sprite edit of mine, made in celebration of the release of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Hey, if Mickey can rock an Organization XIII cloak, why not Daisy? The quote is from Thud!, my favorite Discworld book.
My bubble for the holiday season. Sprite is one I modified, as per usual. My first quote was from the classic MST3K episode Santa Claus. The second was a classic Azumanga Daioh line from Osaka.
My bubble for the first 4.5 months of 2010, which was blue both in honor of the Japanese release of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and because blue is my favorite color and I hadn't gotten a chance to have a blue bubble yet. The sprite is from Kingdom Hearts Mobile, modified by both myself and DTN. The quotes are from the Doctor Who special "Time Crash"; my sister got me hooked on Who around this period.

My current talk bubble, which I changed because I felt like it. It's probably comes of working in my garden all day, with all the pretty late-spring, early summer flowers coming up. The sprite is made from modified Mobile components, and the quote is from the fantastic Doctor Who episode, "Blink".

Halloween 2010. They keep calling me Burger King. They got their wish. Bwa-ha-ha! Icon summoned by demonic pact made by me.
Who Are You?
I get asked a lot of questions about my background, particularly my age, marked with the dignified description of "old" at right. I don't want to give too many details about myself, but I will tell you the following:
1. How old is old? When I was born, Jimmy Carter was president, John Lennon was still alive, and there was no such thing as MTV or Nickelodeon.
2. My original background is in the sciences, especially astronomy. I got into teaching when the research money went away following September 11th, and I found out I loved it. Sadly, I'm taking a break from education at the moment because I'd rather teach students things they can use instead of how to fill in bubbles on a test sheet. Just so you know, office work is boring and monotonous...don't do it, kids!
3. I have many non-video game hobbies...I'm a martial artist, specializing in Tai Chi and I read like it's going out of style (current favorite author: Terry Pratchett). However, my love and passion is movies. Start me talking about cinema and you cannot shut me up. Especially animated films. Especially the works of Disney and Pixar. My best friend, who is an even bigger Disney fan than me, was the one who got me started on this whole Kingdom Hearts thing in the first place.
4. As for video games, I am also stuck in a perpetual game of Fallout 3, I am having a blast with Soulcalibur IV, and am also rocking out with Beatles: Rock Band and Lego Rock Band. I'm also back playing Kingdom of Loathing again. Hardcore sucks. I am eagerly awaiting the releases of Fallout: New Vegas, and, of course, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.
5. I don't watch nearly as much TV as I used to (especially as I don't have cable), but I find time here and there. Current shows I tune into are The Big Bang Theory and Mythbusters. I also seem to have gone to more Anglophile viewing habits (hooray for BBC America!), since I've been enjoying Doctor Who and Top Gear. At any other time, I can usually throw in an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000, Whose Line is it Anyway?, or The Simpsons and be a happy puppy. I also have a ridiculous number of favorite anime series, topped easily by Cowboy Bebop and Lupin III. Hmm...wonder where my username came from now?
6. I love almost any kind of music. 80's music makes me feel all young and child-like again, the Beatles were my first favorite band, and Dave Matthews Band and the Barenaked Ladies got me through college. I'll listen to just about anything, though...J-pop, big band, alternative rock, classical, jazz, film soundtracks, oldies, and even country all have a place on my mp3 player.
