- Honestly, if it wasn't, I'd be really impressed.
- Here's my deal: I'm a big fan of two things in articles— consistency in formatting, and complete and accurate information. Now I don't really care what anyone does in articles that haven't had any formatting done—since we are gonna have to revise them anyway—so long as it's correct and doesn't come off as terrible writing, but on articles that have already been rewritten and given their formatting, it really grinds my gears when someone flat-out ignores what we've been trying to do.
- Now, the Deck Command articles need to be taken seriously. We still don't have a set format for how to "learn" any of them, since there are so many methods (i.e. drops, melding, moogle shop, treasure chests, prizes, command board), so pretty anything anyone puts there is going to be fairly non-helpful. Other details, such as slots, level, reload times, etc. go in the lead (see Blitz or Strike Raid), or in a "Mechanics" section, which I intend to start adding to articles for attack abilities/sleights/deck commands.
- I know I'm kinda stepping on your work, but I want you to understand how we're trying to be as complete as possible, and how being vague (and redundant) isn't lending itself to that. If you have details, don't hesitate to stick them in the talk page until we have a plan, or even suggest a format there.

Uhh... okay do you have a settings that would make the sound and graphic better? After I start a new game, Namine say "Sayonara"(don't know if I spelled it right) or "Thank You", right? But the game kept breaking so it would result as, "S... Sayona...Sayonara...Sayonara..." The game may not be compatible enough here in DeSMUME.

- It is possible to rip data from the original Japanese game - that is not really the issue here. However, it's unethical for us to be encouraging piracy for our own gain, though we're not going to report anyone for it. RCO Keyblades
Are you getting the English Keyblade names from that Multi6 thing? I know that, at least in the Japanese, the levels' names are slightly different than what you typed.

Okay, here are some answers to your questions, but I'm no expert on this topic, so some of this could be wrong or outdated:
- NDS model ripping. There are two major difficulties with such tasks
- the model files (bmd0 files) are packed inside p2 containers (at least in 358/2 Days case), but there is no real unpack tool available. It was very complicated to get the model files in 358/2 Days case and I deleted most of the stuff I used back then, because nearly all of it was garbage.
- viewing the models is another big problem. 358/2 Days bmd0 models use custom bone opcodes. Because of that all NDS models viewers I know won't display most of the ingame models correctly. That wasn't a problem until I got to Xigar's weapons, because all the other weapons are either flat and can be recreated easily with the textures or are very simple built. Xigar's weapons though have to be displayed 3D to get a good look at them. I contacted a programmer of the best viewer available (the NSBMD tool), but he couldn't help me either.
If you're hoping to get the new Re:coded enemy models this way, you're most likely out of luck. If I remember correctly only two enemy models of 358/2 Days were displayed right, the others were so badly deformed you wouldn't even recognize them.
But you're free to try it yourself, maybe you can come up with a solution or find a better viewer. There are different versions of the NSBMD tool available, some of them might be more helpful with specific models than others. I put the one in the archive, I used the most along with Xigbar's weapon models. I have all the other models somewhere, but I cant find them at the moment.
The guys at the Spriters Resource can help you futher (especially Barubaryhe, is a real pro.)
- Extracting textures from Birth by Sleep: This is a rather delicate matter, so I won't send you any game files, just explain how to get what you want.
- At first you have make an iso of your copy of BBS, the BBS0.dat, BBS1.dat, BBS2.dat, BBS3.dat and BBS4.dat are the files were are looking for. They store pratically all game data (models, sounds, textures etc.).
- Getting the texture files is a lot easier now. Dsfgd wrote a script for QuickBMS which extracts every texture file in the corresponding dat file. You can find it here.
- Now the tm2 files have only be converted to a normal image format. The mesh2rdm tool is the easiest way to do so.
- Another thing: the BBS1.dat, BBS2.dat and BBS3.dat are encrypted. You have to decrypt them first if you want to get the game files out of it. This thread should help.
