Talk:Dark Mode
whew!* that was fun. Could someone give a second opinion on whether a page for Riku's Halloween Town form should be made? Also, could someone be so kind as to add this to the Form template? I tried, and I failed.

What triggers it ?
Shouldn't we mention the bits : Dark Mode only occurs if you manage to fill the Dark Points gauge up to 30, and once you're in Dark Mode, you lose your Dark Points when your cards are broken ? TNÉ En avant Bravo ! 12:31, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I think we should. It surprises me that it's not in the article yet. LevL 12:40, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
Picture
Is that the best picture we have of Dark Mode Riku?--Masgrande 18:42, November 6, 2009 (UTC)
Whoa i agree its....weird and well.....yeah i just dont like it. D.Dark. 19:19, November 6, 2009 (UTC)
How Riku get it?
i always thought that it was Maleficent who gave dark mode to him, but i was reading vanitas talk page and someone said that was passed from Xehanort heartless to Riku, so could some one tell me how did he get it?
It's in the article. Riku first got Dark Mode from Maleficent in Kingdom Hearts, but lost it when his body was taken by Xehanort's Heartless. In Castle Oblivion, Xehanort's Heartless gives Riku the ability to use Dark Mode freely. - LevL 17:56, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
Not freely. He has to get the counter past 30.--User:RedemptionUltima 03:22, December 29, 2009 (UTC)
- That's considered almost freely, in the sense that he can get the counter up to 30 if timed right and broken well, at any point in time. Agi Idup Agi Ngelaban ! 03:24, December 29, 2009 (UTC)
Game Significance
We should really add sections detailing Dark Mode's information from the first Kingdom Hearts. They way the page looks now makes it seem as if it only is shown in CoM. This really would be in a story section - EternalNothingnessXIII 03:29, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
Well, in a way, it was only important to people in Com. So, yeah.--Xienzo 07:07, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
- But wherever a certain element appears, all its in-game appearances should be mentioned. We even mentioned EoTW for KHII (in Roxas' dreams), TWTNW in Another Side, Another Story...... so something as important as Riku's Dark Mode should be given mention, especially when we saw Riku using it at his own will. Jornal Entry?
The page is talking about the lack of journal entry of the first KH but i do not remember the form has a journal entry, so could someone tell me if it has or not?--Xabryn 20:10, December 16, 2009 (UTC)
Riku's Journal Entry "evolves" over the course of the story. After you first face him in Hollow Bastion, the entry shows his "Dark Mode" picture. That Journal Entry. - Eternal Nothingness XIII
Speculation
"Riku ventured into Castle Oblivion. Battling Ansem for the last time, the dark influences held upon him faded, Riku losing Dark Mode with no chance of its return, the closest to being free of Ansem he had ever been." Isn't that speculation?--Xabryn 21:30, February 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Riku losing DM, no, but closest to being free of Ansem, yes. ★ Joyeux Wikiversaire ! ★ 00:42, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
We're not sure if he lost it he is not see using it anymore--Xabryn 14:55, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, after that, he didn't use it anymore, and after the first battle with Xemnas, he loses his Darkness entirely, and Mickey says to him that he doesn't belong in the Dark Realm. Thus, Castle Oblivion is the final instance where Dark Mode is used. ★ Joyeux Wikiversaire ! ★ 14:57, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
Just cuz he don't belong to the dark relm anymore it doesn't mean that he can't use darkness, after ll he use it in other battles after that(like dark aura and dark sheild)--Xabryn 22:03, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, but remember : Xehanort's influence is gone. Dark Mode is Xehanort's influence on him. ★ Joyeux Wikiversaire ! ★ 01:10, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
we're not sure about that but fine until nomura explain it(IF he is going to) we change it--Xabryn 01:17, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, if he does. About DM being Xehanort's influence on him, I think the best would be for you to rewatch or replay the earlier stages of Re:Chain and see what you can make of it. ★ Joyeux Wikiversaire ! ★ 01:20, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
Ansem SoD have tempered Riku's darkness. After that he sazid that to rely on it or not is his choice i guess that fater Castle Oblivion he choose to not rely so much on darkness--Xabryn 17:44, February 7, 2010 (UTC)
Do you think the Dark Mode armor is just inheriet to warriors of darkness? Since Vanitas manifests that armor and exclusively used the power of darkness, maybe that's just how it is normally.--Taxima 21:06, June 5, 2010 (UTC)
It's a sign of apprenticeship to Master Xehanort summoned by using darkness. Just like the knight armor is a sign of apprenticeship to Master Eraqus. The third keyblade master in the group is Yensid and even he had an apprentice outfit given out, that apprentice outfit is the red robes his apprentice Mickey wore. As Mickey said in BBS he's no longer an apprentice of Yensid, which is why he's not in his apprentice outfit but his D-Link does show him in his apprentice outfit. As for How Riku was an apprentice to Master Xehanort it's because Riku was the apprentice of AnsemSoD. AnsemSoD is the reason Riku was so gung ho' on darkness by the time of KH1 and had been speaking to him most likely as long as Kairi has been there. He is the one that had Riku destroy the islands and he is the one that sent Riku to Maleficent so she could awaken his sleeping darkness and weaken his heart faster. Master Xehanort did the same type of thing but he tricked Terra into going to Maleficent but Terra ended up refusing Maleficent's offer even though she had awoken some of Terra's sleeping darkness. The fact that Riku also doesn't question anything AnsemSoD said and totally opens his heart to him upon command is further proof of AnsemSoD having been messing with Riku for a long time.--24.7.239.218 20:38, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
