Mission 37 in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is a "mission" that has Roxas trying to find ways to spend his day off in Twilight Town.

Mission assignment

Summary

Vacation approved.

Objectives

  • Shoot for a new Grandstander record!

Story summary

On this day, Saïx gives all the Organization members a vacation. Roxas decides to spend his day off in Twilight Town to get some ice cream. In the Sandlot, Pence and Olette are watching Hayner practice his Grandstanding; after dialogue among those in the area, Roxas is convinced to try Grandstanding on his own. At the end of the day, Roxas goes up to the Clocktower to meet Axel and Xion for some ice cream.

Mission walkthrough

Roxas in mission 37.

The objective of this leisure mission is to hit the ball as many times as possible before it hits the ground. If it makes contact with the ground five times, the counter is reset after dialogue between Hayner and Roxas. This only has to be completed once for the day to be over. Since the objective must only be reached once, and there are no specified goals to meet, this is a very easy mission to complete. Although no specific goal is required to finish the mission, it is still worth getting at least 50 points as doing so will allow Mission 49 to become available when speaking to Luxord between Days 153 and 155.

In Story Mode, Roxas wields a Struggle Sword regardless of Gears equipped, and thus gains no benefits from any equipped Gears. Instead, appropriate ability panels should be equipped, such as those that increase aerial skills and the Extreme Ring for the capability of using a Limit Break. Mission Mode, however, allows regular weapons for use in the Grandstanding; this, along with the Risky Play ability, is also the only other possible way to activate a Limit Break.
