Template:Enemy Foreteller Gula is a Keyblade Master who appears in Kingdom Hearts χ. He leads the Leopardos Union and is an apprentice of The Master of Masters.

Story

Before Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ

Gula is given a Keyblade forged from his own heart by the Master of Masters, who takes Gula as his apprentice alongside Foreteller Aced, Foreteller Ava, Foreteller Invi, Foreteller Ira, and Luxu, eventually achieving the rank of Keyblade Master alongside each of his fellow apprentices. The Master of Masters then bestows a copy of the Book of Prophecies upon Gula, making him a Foreteller and giving Gula leadership over a Union of Keyblade wielders, Leopardus. As Gula and the other Foretellers read their copies of the Book of Prophecies, they are shocked by the final entry, which details an event known as the Keyblade War, during which Light would expire and the world would reach its end.

Gula, alongside his fellow Foretellers, are soon introduced to a new creation of the Master of Masters', the Chirithy, questioning the Master of Masters when he refers to the creature as a "Spirit". Though the Master of Master explains that the Chirithy are meant to aid Keyblade wielders in their endeavors, he warns that should a wielder fall to darkness, so too will their Chirithy; becoming a Nightmare. This inspires Aced to suggest that they destroy any Nightmare Chirithy they come across - to which Gula mocks Aced by explaining that he is suited to the bear mask that he wears because he's scary, opening the floor for the Master of Masters and Ava; much to Aced's dismay.

Sometime later, the Master of Masters requests to meet with Gula alone in the Foreteller's Chamber, with Gula finding his Master enthusiastically looking through the Book of Prophecies. Confused, Gula asks if the Master of Masters wants him to come back later. Denying this, the Master of Masters finally comes across what he'd been looking for and rips it out of the Book of Prophecies. When Gula questions what he's been given, he is simply told to read it - with Gula realizing that it's a page not in any of the copies of the Book of Prophecies given to the Foretellers. The Master of Masters then informs Gula that his role lies within the Lost Page, as it is up to him to discern who the traitor hidden among them is and stop them before it's too late. From this, Gula gathers that the Master of Masters had given each of his apprentices different roles because who ever diverts from their role could be identified as the traitor mentioned on the Lost Page. Though the Master of Masters is disappointed with the lack of impact such a revelation has on Gula, he confirms Gula's logic nonetheless; directing Gula to act normal, stay focus and trust no one but himself.

Eventually, the Master of Masters disappears, prompting concern among the Foretellers which only intensified as Luxu himself disappeared. Gula and Ava worked together in order to seek out the Master of Masters - however their efforts prove ineffective, as the Master of Masters is no where to be found

Gula defends the Player from a Darkside and leaves a Chirithy Dream Eater behind. Quest 1: Prologue He returns shortly after the Player learns to wield the Keyblade, and he explains the need to defeat Heartless so Lux can be collected. Gula claims some seek Lux out of greed, and he asks the Player to help root out the darkness before he departs once again. Quest 3: Combat 102 From then on, Gula receives reports on the Player's progress from their Chirithy. He occasionally tests the Player's skill in response to these. Quest 200: Heading Home Pt. 6

Following Chirithy (2)'s demise, Gula tells the Player's Chirithy the darkness's strength is increasing. This prompts speculation there is a traitor amongst the Foretellers. Quest 250: Heartless Havoc: Fountain Square Later, after the Player enters a corridor of darkness to defeat Heartless, Gula states only a resistance to darkness will allow the Unions to survive. Appearance

Gula is a boy who hides his face under a white leopard mask. His pale yellow, hooded cloak covers a robe, shirt, and sash that are all yellowish-tan in coloration and have dark grey embroidering. Light blue tassels appear on the front of Gula's cloak.

Personality

Gula is an individual who trusts no one but himself.

Abilities

Foreteller Gula's Keyblade has a dark blue handle. Its pommel and guard resemble golden lightning bolts, and at the base of its blade is a depiction of a green-eyed leopard. This Keyblade's shaft is comprised of a golden, spiked sword and black fuller. It bears a symbol resembling Terra's mark, and its teeth are formed from a web of crystalline spikes. This weapon's Keychain is made of small electrum crystals, and its token is a talisman that has a Gazing Eye on it.

Etymology

Gula's name is derived from the word gula, which means "gluttony" in Latin and is represented by a leopard in the Ancrene Wisse.
