Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png A brand new project, designed to deal with the Kingdom Hearts χ-related sections and pages. Basically, as Kingdom Hearts χ continues to tie more and more to the main series, we need to expand our coverage of the game. So, I've organized several sections where we could work on/expand content/coverage. Thanks to ShardofTruth, we have a bunch of resources on how to do this, for those of us (especially me) who don't speak Japanese. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png

Tasks

Kingdom Hearts χ

Writing this page up to appropriately match other game pages. That includes rewriting the Story section, the Development section, and the Worlds and Characters sections. Any additional information present in other game pages should be written for Kingdom Hearts χ.

Worlds

Writing up story sections for each world, describing the story of each world in the game. This should be listed under "Other Appearances", since the worlds' stories are still not considered canon, especially that of any Disney worlds. The only world with considerably-canon content is Daybreak Town, and even that is subject to doubt (Mickey, Donald, Goofy and the others being there doesn't seem canon).

These two are listed in Template:XChi, but I'm not sure I've seen anything with them.

Characters

Same thing as worlds, story sections under "Other Appearances" must be written. The non-canon tag should be added to all these sections, so that we still document the stories and don't risk claiming speculation or false canon content (that's what the non-canon tag is for, right?)

Events

This is writing up coverage of the events in Kingdom Hearts χ. We attempted this before, but I get the feeling we can do this right if we try to find a way to cover the events. Perhaps not all the specifics are needed, since those events as they were introduced are kind of a one-time thing. Many of the events are listed in Shard's notes, but only up to January 2014.

  • 1st Anniversary
Items

Writing up articles for the various Key Items in the game. Much of the information is in Shard's notes in Ansem's Computer. We just need to make the articles akin to the item pages that have been created in the last couple months (tie in with the Key Items project perhaps?)

Cards

We need a way to cover the cards. Perhaps upload all the cards seen and introduced in Kingdom Hearts χ, so that we also have those in the Mainspace. We could have a Cards (KHχ) page, where we explain how cards work in the game and then have a gallery for all the cards or something of the like. We could also add the cards to the galleries of the characters that appear in them.

Links and Additional Information

Thanks to ShardofTruth, we have these links to information and videos. We can definitely use these to our advantage, especially those of us who can't read Japanese.

From Talk:Kingdom Hearts χ:

  • KH13 is cooperating with Everglow8444 on a fully translated walkthrough of the game, check out part 1 to 15 here.
  • Sign and Goldpanner at KHInsider are still working on a full translation of all missions, it's a bit out-of-date at the moment though. You can find it here, it also includes all events in which Everglow didn't participate in. A translation of the 1st Anniversary event (with Mickey, Goofy, Donald etc.) by Kazr10 can be found here.
  • Here is a 7zip archive of every mission screen and (almost) every dialogue in the game (all Japanese though), a list of the currently available animated scenes can be found here.

Game Clear Data KHRECOM.png For the cards I would propose something like this (check out the game's page too):

List of Final Fantasy Artniks Cards
The difference between those games are mainly that Artniks only has 479 cards while we're currently at 1124 cards in KHX. Because of this high number the rarities above R (R+/SR/SR+) have to be split down further to Power/Speed/Magic/Assist while all cards from for N/N+/R can be displayed on one page. Instead of "Special" cards we have "Other" (その他) which just contain the Moogle, Yen Sid and Fairy Godmother cards.
The template could almost be the same, the card album in KHX doesn't has fixed pages though (the card album looks like this) but at least the cards are numbered. The information would be some of the following stats (here is how it looks in the card album):

  • Name (English name on the card, Japanese name in the stats)
  • ID/Number
  • Rarity (N/N+/R/R+/SR/SR+)
  • Type (Power, Speed, Magic, Assist)
  • Cost
  • Level/Level max (e.g. 1 ~ 60, maybe unnessary as this value is dependent on the rarity)
  • HP/HP max, LUX/LUX max (for Assist cards); Attack/Attack max, Defense/Defense max (for Attack cards)
  • Ability (the Assist cards often don't have one)
  • Selling price

By the way there should be a task for the KHX items.

About Enchanted Dominion and Beast's Castle: It's true they can't be visited at the moment but there are several hints inside the game files (world images, the Keyblades and some Heartless) that they probably will be added in the future. Maybe these worlds should be taken off the template for the time being because the development of [chi] is somewhat unpredictable (the next big content updates will be dungeons and Olympus Coliseum was released before any of those two worlds because it was intended to house a PVP battles, something that seems to be off the table now). --ShardofTruth 10:27, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Mind explaining how synthesis and synthesis items work in KHX so that I can attempt the KHX items? TheFifteenthMember 12:05, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Also, to be more compact, would it be better to make the template a table with the stats going across horizontally, like the CoM cards? Or should we not resize the card images and keep it as large as they are normally? TheFifteenthMember 12:20, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Game Clear Data KHRECOM.png I've made a test page for a card list here, I'm not really satisfied with it though. A table (sortable at best) like it's done for the CoM cards would make sense if we would include more information, at this point it's merely for showing the cards and not much else. I'm always glad for more input.

There are two kinds of synthesis items: The first category includes all items which are needed to upgrade the Keyblades, these are the items you can harvest at certain spots throughout the worlds and have a respawn time, they include all items between Herbal Leaves and Underworld Flame. Then there are the Mythril materials and the Orichalcum which can't be harvested but are rewards from normal and special tasks in the game, they are also needed to upgrade the Keyblades. The synthesis itself is straight forward, there is a Keyblade upgrade menu which shows the current levels of your Keyblades and what is needed for the next one. If you gathered enough materials you can click the upgrade button, it levels up and shows the materials needed for the next level until you've reached the max level.
The second category of synthesis items includes the eight gems, which can't be harvested either but can only bought with real money, traded for Mog Medals or are rewarded for certain missions. These orbs are used to create Ultimate cards. What are Ultimate cards you ask? Here is a short breakdown:
Every card in [chi] can be leveled up by sacrificing unwanted or Moogle cards to improve its stats, this can be done until it reaches its maximal level. The maximal level depends on the rank of the cards. For N it's 40, for N+ it's 45, for R it's 50, for R+ it's 55, for SR 60 and finally for SR+ 65. To strengthen the cards even further it can be "limit cut", which means fusing the card with a duplicate of this card or alternatively a Yen Sid card of the same rank (Yen Sid are available for R+, SR and SR+). Every time you limit cut a card its maximum level goes up by 5, the maximal number of available cuts is again depended on the rank, it's 4 limit cuts for N/N+/R/R+, 5 for SR and 6 for SR+ making the final maximum level for N 60, N+ 65, R 70, R+ 75, SR 85 and SR+ 95. When the card reaches its final maximum level it's called "high purified", it gets a rainbow background and another stat boost depending again on the rank of the card. Now I hope I haven't lost you yet because now it gets even more complicated.
If a SR+ card is "high purified" it can become an Ultimate Card. Depending on the type of the card different orbs are needed to "ultimise" it. A Rainbow Gem is always needed, for an Upright card you need a Solar Gem, for a Reverse card you need a Lunar Gem, for a Power card you need a Sword Gem, for a Speed card you need a Wing Gem, for Magic card you need a Mystic Gem and for an Assist cards you need two Beautiful Gems. In short you need at least three gems to "ultimise" a card. When a card became an Ultimate card it gets a new red border and can be merged with other SR+ card to strengthen it even further until you're out of attempts or until the stats are maxed. The Remembrance Gem is used to reset an Ultimate card, meaning it undoes all attempts you used to strengthen it. A more in-depth explanation can be found here if there are still questions.
tl;dr: There are two kinds of synthesis, Keyblade level up and card level up. Both use different synthesis items. Keyblades need materials harvested in the worlds and which are rewarded from missions while the orbs needed for the cards to become "Ultimate" are only found in the shops and sometimes are mission rewards.

Thanks for the explanation. We should probably also have the explanation on a Synthesis article somewhere. TheFifteenthMember 16:52, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
As for the table, here is a rough plan of what I envision. The only question is whether the images can be compressed that small without looking odd or disproportioned. TheFifteenthMember 19:52, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
So basically something like this? --ShardofTruth 11:19, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
Yes, what are your thoughts on that? TheFifteenthMember 16:52, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png How's this? I based myself off of the Capture Wiki that Shard has linked for us several times, which is part from where I get the idea for dividing all the cards on the page in sections by type (Attack, Magic, Speed). I'm open to dividing into pages by type rather than into sections, due to the sheer amount of cards, but if we do, it should be all the rarities, rather than just some of them. For uniformity's sake.

EDIT: We should also consider some sort of sorting by number in addition to by rarity. As for listing the cards by character, I think we should have an additional subpage linked (so, sort of Gallery:Sora/KHX) and list them there. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png

Game Clear Data KHRECOM.png This looks very good KSM, although "cost" has nothing to do with buying the card. Instead it's linked to a player attribute that determines how many and what cards you can equip. At level 1 the player's "cost" (コスト) is only 61, meaning you can't have a full deck (9 cards) of SR+ cards because their cost is around 18 to 22 for each card.

I think the Capture wiki is a great place to look for stats (and inspiration) but it's also incomplete and because of how the game works at the moment, it's almost impossible to get all these information when you don't possess the card yourself, meaning it will probably stay incomplete. There is also no way of confirming everything there, so taking all information wouldn't just be plain rude it might also be full of errors. That's why I propose to make it simpler.

The other thing that bugs me about the cards is how we could use them for different things on the wiki (in galleries, in tables, on pages about the abilities etc.) but how complicate or at least how redundant it would be to present them again and again differently for different purposes. What I really like to do is create a database that contains every card complete with image and relevant stats and display them how we want. For example just list the N cards by attack value for a card ranking page, only show the images of the Sora cards for the his gallery, create a complete card list where just the names and numbers are shown, all from the same set of data. I'm not sure if that's even possible, so I scan other wikis to find something similar, but that's the thing that would make the most sense, at least in my opinion.

Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png I've updated my test page (still linked earlier) with all the attack cards from the N category. Obviously, that's not the real stats, I just don't know the stats myself. Is this ok? If we do this, how do we move it to the mainspace? I really don't know how to best organize all these cards... Looks good. Maybe you could make the tables collapsible if there are a lot of cards.

TheFifteenthMember I hope it's slow and painful; the elation I get from such kills is unmatched by anything, yeeeess... Just thinking about it makes me... oohhh... TheFifteenthMember 14:00, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
I like it also. The only suggestion I'd make is to alternate colours every card for visual distinction since the table works so that two rows represent one card. By colour alternation, I mean something similar to Fire (element) where tables alternate colours to separate each category of ability/item.
