Protect
Protect (プロテス Purotesu ) is an ability introduced in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. It defends the user from physical damage.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, "Protect" is an enemy card effect that decreases the damage taken from an opponent's physical attacks. It costs 30 CP to add to the deck and lasts for one reload.
In Kingdom Hearts II, Protect and its upgrades, Protera (プロテラ Purotera ), and Protega (プロテガ Purotega ), are Support abilities that each have a chance of negating all damage to the user, with "Protect" having a 10% chance, "Protera" having a 20% chance, and "Protega" having a 40% chance.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, is a Dimension Link ability that reduces damage taken from physical attacks.
In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, "Protect" is an Overclock ability that decreases damage taken by Data-Sora from direct attacks by 25%.

- The Defender enemy card has "Protect" as its ability.
