Dream Pieces are special ingredients used to create Spirit Dream Eaters in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Similar to other kinds of materials featured in other games of the series, Dream Pieces come in a large variety of types. They have certain "graduation" inside each type of Dream Piece: the figments, the fancies, and the fantasies (just like shards, stones, gems, and crystals in Kingdom Hearts II, for example). Since the Dream Pieces represent fragments of dreams, their types are named after different kinds of ideas and feelings that are present in dreams. The types of Dream Pieces present in the game are: Brilliant, Charming, Dulcet, Epic, Fleeting, Grim, Intrepid, Lofty, Malleable, Noble, Prickly, Rampant, Savage, Troubling, Vibrant, Wild, and Wondrous.
