The Land of Dragons

First Visit

This is one of the first Disney worlds in the game. Upon landing, a cutscene will begin involving your old ally, Mushu, along with a young "man" named Ping. After this hummous cutscene, Ping will join the party.

You'll be givin a quick tutorial about switching party members (unless you have visited Beast's Castle first), though at this point, Ping cannot be swapped out. You'll also encounter a Moogle Shop. If you have any Synthesis items, use it to hand them in. Now, walk down the path and you'll reach a camp. Walk to the line of soldiers, and a cutscene will begin, which will introduce you to Yao, Ling, Chin Po and Captain Lei Shang. During the cutscene, a group of Heartless will attack the camp. You must fight them, but don't let the Morale Gauge Bar on the top left corner of the screne run out, otherwise it's game over. It will go down everytime Ping is attacked.

After the battle, the Captain will allow Sora, Donald and Goofy into his army, but will turn down Ping. Sora asks the captain to give Ping another chance, which he accepts. Now you must do three missions:

• The Suprise Attack: Defeat 15 Heartless before the Morale Gauge Bar runs out. The bar is connected to a timer.
• The Ambush (?) : Defeat all the Heartless at the Checkpoint without letting the Morale Gauge Bar reach empty. It will only drop if Sora is hit by the Assault Riders.
• The Search: Defeat all eight Heartless before the Morale Gauge Bar runs out. The bar is connected to a timer. Use Fire on the tents to spawn out the hidden Heartless.

After clearing all three missions, you'll obtain an AP Boost. The captain now wants you to clear a path on the Mountain Trail . The trail can be found at the rocky exit at the Check Point. Once you reach the path, you'll enter a short cutscene with Hayabusa flying over the party. Now, you must clear a path by using Rockshatter on each group of rocks along the path before the Morale Gauge Bar reaches empty. How the bar goes down is a suprise, meaning either time or being attacked by Heartless can knock it down. If it's the former, once it's low, attack the Heartless to repel it. If it's the latter, avoid being hit at all costs.

After completing this mission, Yao, Ling and Chin Po will be impressed with Ping, and the captain will finally allow "him" to join the army, despite still not being impressed. In the village, Mushu will claim that he saw Shan Yu walk into a nearby cave. The village will have a Moogle Shop and a save point, so save the game and cash in your Synthsis items. After that, go into the cave and walk to the end. However, you'll soon relise that it's empty. Suddenly, Shan Yu will send in a whored of Shadows and Assault Riders to attack Sora and Ping. Because Donald and Goofy are sealed out of the battle, nither one of them will be active in the battle.

After the battle, Sora will obtain Slide Dash, Ping will gain five more HP along with Hyper Healing, and Donald and Goofy will rejoin the party. Once you exit the cave, the village will be in ruins, and the captain will be scratched. Shan Yu and his whored of Heartless have headed towards the Summit. Head through the mountains and you'll encounter Shan Yu on top of the summit with a whole bunch of Rapid Thusters. Now, you'll fight to fight the Rapid Thusters along with some Bolt Towers. The battle will only take one minute, and you don't have to beat them all.

After the battle, Yao will bring in a rocket cannon that will be used for Shan Yu's assassination. However, Ping will steal it from him and will aim it at the mountain peak. Using Mushu, "he" lights up the rocket, sending it (with Mushu still on it) towards the mountain, causing an avalanche and prusumally killing Mushu as a result. This sends Shan Yu off the cliff to his assumed death, and just after the captain congratulates Ping for the assassination, Mushu pops out of the snow (revealing that he suvived) and blows Ping's secret: He is really a she, and her real name is Mulan.

Furious, the captain expells Mulan from the army, and does the same to Sora, Donald and Goofy (who knew the truth), rather than execute them. Because her secret has been exposed, Mulan takes her armor off and decided to go home. At this point, the game will say "Ping has gone back to being Mulan. Mulan learned a new ability". From now on, Mulan will use her real name in gameplay stats. Her limit is now unlocked, and can be used in battle. Just before you regain control of the party, the help text will tell you about limits (unless you have already been to Beast's Castle).

Do down the mountain, and a cutscene will begin, in which it's revealed that Shan Yu had suvived the avalanche. Now, your main mission is to return to the Check Point and reach the palace. Don't forget to save at the Village.

Upon reaching the city, nobody would want to lision to what Mulan has to say... until Donald spots Hayabusa flying over the palace towards Shan Yu. Suddenly, some of the soldiers turn into Heartless. Defeat the Heartless, then head towards the palace. If you want to save, head back to the bamboo terrace where you first met Mulan and Mushu. After that, get yourself ready for the boss battle with Shan Yu.

After you defeat Shan Yu, Sora will get five more HP, plus Aerial Sweep, Donald will get 4 more HP, Goofy will get Goofy Turbo and Mulan will get twenty more HP. The item in this world that will unlock the gate is Shan Yu's sword. Sora obtains the Hidden Dragon Keyblade.

If The Land of Dragons is the first world completed, the route to Olympus Coliseum will be unlocked, and you can enter either Beast's Castle or Olympus Coliseum (after completing the routes on the Gummi Ship for each). If this was the second world completed, and you have not exited this world or Beast's Castle during each trip, you will be automatically taken to Hollow Bastion.
