We actually have at least one finished page for each type of article; "Everything" basically means the current article should be used only for notes, and should be rewritten from the ground up using a specific other article as its template. We want to strongly discourage people from just adding things to the pages without making sure it is in the correct style, then removing the "expand" tags as though the article was finished.
However, I certainly agree that the expand tags should list which page should be used as an example; we should probably renew our list of "perfect" articles, and rejigger the expand template to allow pointers to those articles.
