Good day, kupo! Okay, I've been recently contacted by Richard1990 about the use of Pagetitles (the words that are displayed on the titlebar: "the world of information not accessible by gummiship") to increase google search ranking, kupo. The change made by Richard was :"Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, characters and more", kupo. Below is the quoted reason, kupo:

"The reason I edited them is to improve the wiki's search engine rank in Google by using popular keywords being use in Google. Having those keywords in the pagetitle will make the Kingdom Hearts Wiki be #1 or close to it when searching Kingdom Hearts-related terms in Google. So it would be nice if the pagetitles had those keywords in them, but if not, then that's alright too, but you'll be losing out on traffic and potential active contributors."

Personally, I think that if people wanted to search the wiki, they'd type "kingdom hearts wiki", kupo. I tested out typing "Kingdom Hearts" and I discover we are the third KH fansite listed in rank, kupo, against KHInsider and KHUltimania, two very well-known KH fansites, kupo. The reason we didn't share a page with them was because naturally there's the official sites listed as well, kupo, so that lowered our google rank by the term "kingdom hearts" a bit.

Kupo, what do you think, community? Should we keep our unique pagetitle "the world of information not accessible by gummiship" that defines us as a wiki, kupo, or do we follow Richard1990's recommendation to increase google search ranking - that is do we really need to?

The way he describes it, it sounds like he's basically asking us to act like those youtube spammers who stick in every possible word they can to increase traffic. Personally, I don't want us to act anything like that.

On an aesthetic note, I think the gummi ship line has way more personality.

On a logical note, What's the use of saying "Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, characters and more" going to help, if we're already called "Kingdom Hearts wiki"? why not just have the bar say "Kingdom Hearts" 200 times, if we're going to go down that route? Plus, on an anal note, it's "Kingdom Hearts II".

In my point of view, the whole idea just seems kind of jerky.
