Lucifer is featured as a boss in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. In the game, Lucifer is on a self-assigned mission to keep Ven and the mice from collecting materials for Cinderella's ball gown, just as he did in the classic film.
Story
When Ventus comes to Castle of Dreams, he quickly befriends Jaq, one of Cinderella's mouse compainions. On a mission to collect materials for the girl's ball gown, he runs into Lucifer, and a fight ensues. Ultimately, Lucifer realizes that he is no match for Ventus' Keyblade and friendship with Jaq, and flees the scene.
Origin
Lucifer is a ferocious cat from the 1950 Disney film, Cinderella. A nemesis to Cinderella's mice friends and the other animals living on Lady Tremaine's estate, he is pampered and praised by the elderly lady. While the two stepsisters and the wicked stepmother fail to realize Lucifer's evils, he never manages to avoid the protective and watchful eyes of one person, Cinderella herself. She has a secret weapon used for dealing with the devious cat, however; her loyal dog Bruno.
In Cinderella II : Dreams Come True, the sequel of the 1950 film, this cat is shown once again, hunting the mice, who have now moved into Prince Charming's castle along with Cinderella. Upon meeting a beautiful cat living in the castle, not even Lucifer can resist the call of love. He even stoops down to ask the mice for help in attracting her, promising never to cause trouble for them again in return. Lucifer succeeds in getting his girl, the mice turning him from prowler to princely. The two cats go mouse hunting as their first date, however, the mice also having to go back on their word to save themselves, ending Lucifer's relationship. He later appeared in another part of the film, chasing the mice and leading Anastasia into an event that would give her a first love.
In the third and final film in the Cinderella trilogy, A Twist in Time, Lucifer appears yet again. When Anastasia steals the Fairy Godmother's wand, its magic is released. Lucifer unfortunately goes under a series of transformations, such as a goose. When later chasing the mice, who have taken the wand back, Lucifer is shrunk to the size of a bug, also turned into a jack-in-the-box. In a last attempt to keep Cinderella away from the Prince for good after unraveling her Happily Ever After, Lady Tremaine also transfigures Lucifer into a stage coach driver, sent on a mission to take Cinderella as far away as possible in a bewitched pumpkin-like coach.
