Most People think she's her grandmother.

It is her grandmother. Sora explicitly mentions it in the Underwater Cavern after retrieving the Navi-G piece. After Kairi says "A light at the end of the tunnel..." Sora responds by saying "Oh, your grandmother's story, right ?" What more evidence do we need ? Helping others always comes before asking others for help. • TroisNyxÉtienne
