The Rabid Dog (マッドドッグ Maddo Doggu, lit. "Mad Dog") is an Emblem Heartless that is found in Kingdom Hearts II. It has a blue dog-like appearance with the Heartless symbol on its behind, and mostly relies on instincts during battle. A pack of them are seen attacking Meg in the Underworld, before getting scared off by Sora.
Rabid Dogs are one of the most harmless enemies. Most of the time, they will stand, and look at Sora, falling asleep from time to time. However, sometimes they may bark, which causes a sound wave, dealing a large amount of damage, especially at low levels. On Proud mode, their attack is truly devastating. Rabid Dogs tend to appear in packs.

It won't move until approached, so move in swiftly and attack.
It becomes tired and lets its guard down after counterattacks. Attack then for an easy battle.
