We really should merge this page with the Guardian and SoD sections. It's a stub, and they're all really the same monster.

Pureblood?

World of Chaos should be removed from this category, as it is clearly shown to have the emblem. In several places, if I recall correctly, not least of which is the giant one on its chest.Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 19:13, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Yep, it does have the emblem... inside it, as well as whilst shielding Xehanort in its chest. But how come the Face, which is attached directly to it, is a Pureblood ? (Or at least, it says it's a Pureblood......)

I think that category was put there because someone thought World of Chaos was Guardian, but because of the emblem, I would think it's more like the Emblem Heartless of The End of the World or Kingdom Hearts itself.

Guys, here's another thing I need to bring to your attention :

Unbirth and I reviewed the Heartless page on the francophone wiki and we were thinking...... the World of Chaos should be a Pureblood, despite the four emblems found in it. That's because it's the full embodiment of Xehanort's Heartless' power, and that it was marked with Xehanort's emblem to make it his very own. (And I'm pretty sure a Heartless Manufactory can't come up with something that big !)

Well, as far as I can remember, only Emblem appear in End of the World (excluding the World Terminus, as that goes to the actual worlds). aside from Behemoths and Angel Stars, they're all Pureblood, yes? So I'd say the WoC IS Pureblood.

All the Heartless in End of the world aren't Emblem, the Invisibles (an the Neo Shadows in Final Mix) are Pure Blood.

If we're talking size, what about all the other Emblem Bosses?

For locale - only four Pureblood appear in End of the World (Shadow, Invisible, Neoshadow, Darkball(?)), while six Emblem appear (Behemoth, Angel Star, Rare Truffle, Black Fugnus, White Mushroom, Arc Behemoth)

Honestly, at this point we only know that if a Heartless is pure black or has the heart-hole, it's Pureblood, if it has the Emblem, it's Emblem. I think the most responsible thing is to consider it an Emblem until Nomura says differently.

The four cores don't seem to give EXP.

Second Ansem gives 20000 EXP.

I didn't notice that well... something seems to be running in my head about those big cannons. 120 EXP, or none...

Don't worry about the tabs, I'm in the process of figuring out how to get them to display correctly. I'll revert the box if it proves impossible to fix.

Okay, Ainz doesn't know how to do it without modifying the css code, but the good part is that the Artillery and Main Core parts don't really act like "parts" of the World of Chaos itself, more as lichen-like symbiotes. What type IS the World of Chaos, anyway? Ansem is Pureblood, as he was derrived from a person, like a Shadow. He wears an Emblem, like a manufactured Soldier. It behaves more like a Pureblood, yet you can't ignore the girant emblem. It sort of just summons the emblem as a guard for Ansem, said ruler of Heartless. We can't just say "Both Types". This is seriously getting annoying!

For me, it's a Pureblood Heartless that deliberately wears the Heartless Emblem.

Exactly. We have so much more on the side of it being a Pureblood. I think we even mention that Xehanort's emblem is just an article of clothing on his page, too.

...aren't Emblem Heartless the one's derived from people? i.e., the Soldier in KH1, the Nightwalkers in KH2? What exactly would suggest that World of Chaos is Pureblood?

The Purebloods are the ones strictly derived from people, Emblem are made after the heart's corruption in the Heartless factory. Although, I think that when an Emblem takes a heart, the Heartless created isn't a Pureblood but also an Emblem, otherwise there wouldn't be so many of them.

The six traitors were operating a laboratory that churned out those cursed shadows. Not only did they generate "pureblood" Heartless from living hearts, but they then used those Heartless to synthesize artificial versions of the creatures as well

So it seems that the machine can create both Purebloods and Emblem. As far as I know, the only non-speculatory ways of figuring it out are that Purebloods don't release Hearts, while Emblems have the emblem. The World of Chaos has the emblem, but does it release a heart? If it does, then we know it's an Emblem. If it doesn't, then it seems it's some kind of hybrid.

I don't know if it would count, but don't we know canonically that Xehanort's Heart continued within Riku?

[1] has the signature heart-release sound during the explosion, but it fades out before you can ever see what it was that was glowing at the end.

And then Ansem himself does some kind of thing, but it might be that generic "powerful boss" explosion that the KH bosses due here and in CoM.

I'd say that while it's not absolutely certain, the World of Chaos at least released a heart, while Ansem's heart just went back to Riku for some reason. That would indicate that World of Chaos is an Emblem, though I'm not sure what it would imply for Ansem.

World of Chaos a World and Trivia

1. Could the World of Chaos be considered a world itself? 2. Would it be ok if I added the trivia about the final battles of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy VII in that Ansem and Sephiroth are both fought in a similar fashion?
