Revision as of 22:55, 18 December 2009

This is the page for listing articles, templates, categories, or other pages to discuss deletion. Voice your opinion on the deletion of these items by adding a bulleted comment and signing your name at the end of your comment with ~~~~. Once a discussion has concluded, an administrator will close the discussion. Discussions may be archived a week after being closed.

In order to keep things moving along on this page, the following rules are in place:

1. Post the article, category, or media to a new section. To add a new heading, click the "+" button at the top of the page or click here. You will be given a box to input a header or topic.

2. In the heading or right under it, place a link to the article or media in question. If we can't find it, we can't delete it!

  • To list an article, type [[article title]].
  • To list a category type [[:Category:Name of category]]. Remember the colon in the beginning or it won't link correctly.
  • To list a template, type {{tname|name of template}} to generate a link to the template.

3. Post Keep, Delete, or Merge and a short reason that action should take place. Make sure to add your signature (~~~~).

4. NO talkboxes may be used on this page. If one is posted, it will be removed.

5. Once a final decision is made by the admin, the discussion is closed. Any attempts to reinstate an article require a new discussion first, or the article will be deleted immediately.

For archived discussions, see the Archives.

Template:Kaylee Anne

This is requested to be deleted because the user is suspected sockpuppet, am I correct? Even so, I think since it's already used around certain discussion pages, it's not really prudent to delete it; the end result will be broken links. Of course, this can easily be remedied by removing the talktemplate while retaining its message with pseudo-user comments, but I'm more bent on keeping the template as is. How think other peoples? BLUER一番 16:20, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Keep the template as it is. I reckon that Amy's two other templates have still been kept on the wiki, so I don't think there's a reason to actually remove them. Also, it'll cause a lot of mess in our talk archives because we've all been affected by them. TNÉ Pour Noël je te donnerai le battement de mon cœur… ♥ 16:23, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Unversed Carriage + Unversed Musician

Both of these are articles for Unversed that appear in scans for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, but have no official name! Unless an enemy has an official name, it should not receive an article. --DTN Room Core.png 23:18, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

So? Before you found Bug Block's offical name you guys still keep the name without deleting what so diffrent about those 2? Cococrash11

That is different becuase we did have a translation, it just happened to incorrect. The same goes for when we had the Unbirth article for what became known as the Unversed. These two enemies, on the other hand, have had no English names released, and need to be deleted. Articles for these two enemies and all the other Unversed will be created once translations are released. --DTN Room Core.png 04:41, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
The information itself can be salvaged, Coco, it's the article name that is un-kosher. The information should instead be in prose on the main Unversed article, or the "Unnamed Enemies" article, until it can be properly split off.Glorious CHAOS! 05:20, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Real + {{Info}}

For the Real template, we fused it into the Game and Gameicon templates. No longer needed. As for the Info template, I really don't see the point in having what is basically an expansion template that will only be used for infoboxes. We can just use the Expand template, and put "stats" and/or "infobox" after the "create=". It's just one more redundant maintenance template and category that I don't think is necessary, or even useful. --DTN Room Core.png 02:49, December 9, 2009 (UTC)

Maybe I made too drastic a jump by granting officialism of the template so soon. It still resides in my Sandbox, where TNE and I are working out kinks and other junk, and WILL BE PLANNING NEW MAINTANANCE TEMPLATES FOR THE WIKI. The reason for template re-doings was because there was a character repeat in the templates. The Infobox template is merely a build-off of the Expand template similar to the Recontruct template, or whatever it was Bluefrn had questioned. It basically allows more specificity when requesting things be added to the article. - EternalNothingnessXIII 10:15, December 9, 2009 (UTC)
Remaining unless you guys change your mind for some reason. Are they going to be up soon?BebopKate 02:04, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
I still don't see why we need this; why have an entire banner when you can just list the information in the "create=" space of the expansion template? That makes loading time faster for those on older computers, and also saves room on the article. Plus, this seems like another template that will cause the "template wall" at an article's top, meaning that it will just expand on the other maintenance templates already in use. I believe that is one of the reasons why we changed the translation template to be a small message instead of an entire banner. This is just a redundant template that can already has its purpose fulfilled through the expansion template's "create="; I honestly see no point in creating an entire template just for infoboxes that will take up even more room on an article's top. --DTN Room Core.png 05:18, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
Looking at the real template (via history), I agree with DTN; we do have an icon to represent those; I don't think we need a big template at the top as well; the whole point of the big templates is to alert that something needs to be fixed, and they look out of place in articles where the info's complete/correct. Where are you're going with the Info template...what is it replacing/improving on? BebopKate 22:55, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

If we gave him more time maybe he could improve it let him keep it.(Naminépower 01:11, December 14, 2009 (UTC))(Naminépower)

What? Why did you start a new section? Augh...we don't need it because there's already the Destiny Islands page with all the information already. We don't need pages for the Data Worlds. Maggosh 01:14, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
Precisely. I think it should be removed. All data versions correspond with their actual counterparts ; it'd be a waste of bitspace just getting it up. TNÉ Pour Noël je te donnerai le battement de mon cœur… ♥ 11:46, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

If it differs greatly from the real Destiny Islands, then we'll put it back up; otherwise, it's just not different enough for its own article. The info might go better in the coded article. Deleted. BebopKate 01:57, December 16, 2009 (UTC)

On another note, I reckon Cococrash was the one who created the page, right ? He's still maintaining that Data DI is a world by itself, passing me the script from Coded. But seriously, I don't find any difference. See Template talk:Worlds. TNÉ Pour Noël je te donnerai le battement de mon cœur… ♥ 01:59, December 16, 2009 (UTC)

Special:UnusedFiles

With the policy on use of renders/in-gameshots, a lot of character artwork have been orphaned and/or unused. As all of you are aware I'm currently deleting unused files, and I would really appreciate if anyone would volunteer to check which artworks would be kept and used in articles. Your cooperation is highly appreciated. BLUER一番 14:14, December 16, 2009 (UTC)
