Trivia
- Setzer's appearance in Kingdom Hearts is criticised by Final Fantasy fans as he is portrayed as an arrogant ladies man. He was similar in the original game, to some extent, but his character has been quite exaggerated.
- Setzer is technically the "earliest" Final Fantasy character used in the Kingdom Hearts series, hailing from Final Fantasy VI and, along with Vivi from Final Fantasy IX, is one of two Yoshitoko Amano-designed characters to appear in the series and redesigned by Nomura. Although Nomura himself has stated that he chose to use Setzer because he had an influence on his original design.
- Setzer can only have an entry on Jiminy's Journal after Sora defeats him in a Struggle match.
- setzer's attacks are closly related to sephiroths in kh1
