Slapshot is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts II. It allows the user to perform a quick uppercut.
Mechanics[edit]
In Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Slapshot is a combat ability that costs 1 AP to equip. It allows Sora to perform a wide uppercut slash instead of his default, slower thrust when near an opponent, and has a chance of dealing a Critical Hit. When Combo Master is equipped, it is possible to skip over Slapshot without the attack even landing due to the fast transitions between attacks.
In Kingdom Hearts II, Slapshot is an action ability that costs 2 AP to equip. It allows Sora to perform a quick uppercut slash when near an opponent, doing slightly more damage than a regular strike and preventing him from getting flung back if he is blocked or parried. Physical defenses such as a Large Body's front notably do not stop the attack. In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Sora connects his combo attacks more easily when performing Slapshot. Its description is erroneously switched with that of Dodge Slash, but this was corrected in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix.
