Critical Counter (クリティカルカウンター Kuritikaru Kauntā?) is an ability in Kingdom Hearts III. It allows the user to increase the damage delivered by reprisals by blocking right before an enemy attack lands.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts III, Critical Counter is a support ability exclusive to Critical Mode that costs 5 AP to equip. It activates when the user blocks an attack right before it connects, signified by a special sound and the user briefly glowing red.

Learning Critical Counter

  • Sora has Critical Counter by default on Critical Mode.
  • Riku has Critical Counter by default on Critical Mode.
  • Aqua has Critical Counter by default on Critical Mode.
