:Bend the pages as far as I dare to without ripping them out (the book spines are kinda stuffed afterward, but no matter tbh), use my iPad to make sure they stay flat during the actual scanning (this may take several tries for a page if the initial scan isn't satisfactory), then do alignment/clean-up in Photoshop.
