Going back to that comment regarding the book, I have read it myself as well and it is explained that "Sabor" is actually a term applied to any and all lionesses in the Mangani language. Other feline names that are dropped include "Numa" (lion) and "Sheeta" (leopard), which were eventually used in The Legend of Tarzan animated series by Disney for two more leopards that appear, both of them being black panthers. According to the order of cutscenes/Deep Jungle's storyline, I'm assuming the cutscene the article speaks of is "Clayton." Cutscenes. I cannot personally confirm though as my game systems are back home- not at college. <span style="color:black">Xion</span><span style="color:darkred">4</span><span style="color:maroon">ever</span> 00:08, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Hey Heart, Sora and Company don't encounter Sabor after they rescue Kairi. He's tougher when you try to get Clayton.Winxfan1 11:54, 24 June 2009 (UTC)Winxfan1

Yeah, but the infobox does not have a place for the second set of stats. HeartOfOblivion 19:25, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Journal Entry?[edit]

Is there a reason this article doesn't have a journal entry? I see in the history there used to be one..Why did we remove it?--Xion4ever 17:43, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

Optional battle at Tree House[edit]

Apparently if you go back to the Tree House, Sabor will create a hole in the floor that is useful in trapping Donald and Goofy during Agaricus attempts. Can anyone verify this (screenshots, maybe)?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:40, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

Gender[edit]

710MS.png I just got the novel (this won't change my opinion on the world; I'll still excommunicate it from canon), and Sora's battle with Sabor (where he is rescued by Tarzan) takes place, but this is Sabor's only appearance. She's referred to as "it" here, rather than "he" or "she".

You got the novel?! Cool~! How is it? I saw a copy at my Barnes & Noble stores, but I didn't get it since it was in poor condition (I'm a collector, so I like things in tip-top condition and refuse to get damaged goods). Anyway, on topic, there is already trivia pointing out the confusion on Sabor's gender. Personally, I'd rather go with using "it", but the Kingdom Hearts series label him as a male in spite the official Tarzan and it was decided to use "he" on the wiki a while back. So, maybe we should keep it like that, but mention that Sabor is refer to as an "it"?

480MS.png The journal entry and the 2.5 guild refer to Sabor as a male, and the novel uses "it". However, the film itself never states Sabor's gender (though she's implied to be female), and the only time she's ever given a gender reference is Jiminy's Journal, which refers to her as a male. This issue is kinda like that of Seem from Jak 3.

Frankly, I prefer to rewrite this article with gender-neutral pronunciation, but the journal is the problem. And the trivia should be rewritten to state that this is most likely the only canon where Sabor even has a gender, since her gender was never stated in the film, and the original novels have "Sabor" as a species rather than a single character.

And since you asked, I'm not really that fond of the novel. It's just a more simple retelling of the game's plot, with a lot of content, including all optional stuff, cut out (they even skipped over Halloween Town and Atlantica, when you only need to complete one of them to advance). The whole story would only make sense if you've already played the game.

I'm fine with your idea, but what does everyone else think? In regards to the journal, however, I'm also okay with leaving it as "he", too.

Ah, really? That's a shame. :(

Since games always trumps other media, it should be kept as "he", although its appearance in the novel should be noted somewhere...

As I mentioned previously, we already have a trivia regarding Sabor's gender, so we can mention it there. :)

Going back to that comment regarding the book, I have read it myself as well and it is explained that "Sabor" is actually a term applied to any and all lionesses in the Mangani language. So while the game may be referring to Sabor as male, the name as stated by Burroughs' estate means that the cat is female. --Tailikku (talk) 03:05, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
