A dark crystal: the rarest of the dark materials
Dark (うごめく Ugomeku, lit. "Wriggling") is one of the materials in Kingdom Hearts II used in Item Synthesis. Solidified fragments of Darkness, the Dark materials are fairly easy to obtain, especially in their smaller forms. Dark was assigned the color black to distinguish it from other materials, especially the Dense category. Dark is also one of the eight materials that has Shards, Stones, and Gems available for purchase once certain criteria are met.

- Dark Stone: Assault Rider, Nightwalker, Bark Hound
- Dark Gem: Gargoyle Knight, Gargoyle Warrior
