Terra-Xehanort tells them that they will lose this fight, that all their hearts will be torn apart one by one. Nonetheless, Terra-Xehanort assures them the X-Blade will be forged nonetheless. He moves in to attack Aqua and Ventus, but is stopped by the Lingering Will. As everyone else watches the Keyblade armor warrior fight Xehanort in amazement, Aqua questions if it is actually Terra underneath the armor. Seeing the Lingering Will struggle in the battle, Ven moves into help, but Aqua stops him, saying they need to handle the army of Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed coming from behind them. | ||
Sora comes across Aqua and Ventus fighting against Terra-Xehanort and Vanitas, and lends a hand to both of them. After Vanitas is vanquished, the trio focus their attention on Terra-Xehanort, and manage to briefly defeat him. Aqua and Ventus rush over to their friend, pleading for Terra to overcome the darkness. Unfortunately, Xehanort regains control of Terra's body, summoning blue chains that bound Sora, Ventus, and Aqua. Intending to finish them once and for all, Terra-Xehanort has the chains around Aqua and Ventus lifted high into the sky, before having them drop. Suddenly, Xehanort's Guardian swoops in and catches Aqua and Ventus before breaking the chains, freeing Sora. The Guardian gently places Aqua and Ventus back on the ground, and goes after Xehanort. The Guardian rips off the bandages covering its mouth, saying it will set things right. Sora uses his Keyblade to unlock Terra-Xehanort's heart, releasing Terra's heart from the Guardian. As a result, Terra's heart is returned to its body, removing Xehanort's influence once and for all. Terra immediately goes to his injured friends' aid. Aqua asks if it truly is him, which he affirms, saying that she never stopped lighting the way back for him. The trio break down in tears as Terra thanks them for never giving up on him. | |||
