Faithline (ホーリーロープ Hōrī Rōpu , lit. "Holy Rope") is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. It allows the user to create a beam of light to traverse areas. Faithline is the Reality Shift of La Cité des Cloches.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, upon activation, the player must use the stylus to draw lines between special orbs or Dream Eaters in an area, creating a beam of light on which Sora or Riku can ride as if they were performing Rail Slide. As such, they can also perform Super Jump or Sliding Dive while in motion. These lines can be used for travel, but riding them also automatically damages any enemies along the path. Lines can cross, and can be ridden up to two times if drawn as a loop.
In Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, activating Faithline instantly creates cyan beams between the orbs or Dream Eaters, with multiple paths branching from areas. The current path Sora or Riku is taking is indicated by the line glowing. The player can change Sora's or Riku's paths with the left analog stick.
Learning Faithline
- Sora and Riku can use Fathline when a Reality Shift is triggered in La Cité des Cloches.
