Kingdom Hearts: Reconnect is an action role-playing game and the thirteenth installment in the Kingdom Hearts series.
Kingdom Hearts: Reconnect takes place several years after the events of Kingdom Hearts: The Keyblade War. A prequel to Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, it focuses on the time of Master Xehanort and Master Eraqus's apprenticeship. Kingdom Hearts: Reconnect delves even further into the mysteries of the legendary Keyblade War; it helps set the stage for Kingdom Hearts III and, over the course of a single scenario, promises to give players the chance to experience the powers of a true Keyblade Master for the first time ever.

Story
Prologue
At the Mysterious Tower, Riku and King Mickey prepare to depart on a search for previous Keyblade wielders. The two reflect upon how they first came to be friends.

Kingdom Hearts: Into Oblivion is an action RPG in which the player can switch between the roles of King Mickey and Riku at any time. The game utilizes an updated version of the command menu featured in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II; through it, the player can perform various actions, cast spells, and use equipped items.
