Captain Hook

Captain James A.S. Hook, credited plainly as Captain Hook, is a Disney villain from Walt Disney's Peter Pan. He is voiced by Corey Burton and Chikao Ohtsuka the latter of whom coincidentally also portrayed an incarnation of the Captain Hook character in World Masterpiece Theater series of anime.

History

Captain Hook is a pirate captain from the land of Neverland. He has but one hand, as his left hand has been severed and replaced with a hook. It was severed by Peter Pan, his arch nemesis, and fed to the crocodile. He now holds a feud against Peter Pan and constantly does battle with the flying boy. Another one of his enemies is the very crocodile that ate his hand, who has now acquired a taste for him.

Description

Captain Hook is a memorable villain of Disney, but is considered merely a comedic villain, rather than a serious one. He is clumsy and can be over-confident, which results in his downfall. He wields a blade with a gold circular guard at the top of its hilt. His most famous lines are:

• "Curse you, Peter Pan!"
• "I'll get you, if it's the last thing I do!"

The movie

In the movie Peter Pan, Captain Hook still holds a feud against Peter Pan. As revenge, he captures Wendy, her brothers, and the Lost Boys. Peter Pan defeats him, and classically sends him running from the crocodile into the horizon.

Kingdom Hearts

In Kingdom Hearts, Captain Hook has joined forces with Maleficent to use the Heartless to kill Peter Pan. His vessel is used as a transport for Riku to Hollow Bastion. Sora, Donald and Goofy arrive on his ship in Neverland. They team up with Peter Pan, who is trying to free Wendy, who has been imprisoned on the ship. They do battle with Captain Hook, and, just like in the movie, send him fleeing from the crocodile when he is defeated. He does not appear in Kingdom Hearts II, and is not mentioned. His ultimate fate therefore remains unknown.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Hook makes an appearance in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories as a figment of Sora's memories. He met his demise when Sora challenged him with Peter Pan. Like the original game, Sora has a high chance of learning the Ars Arcanum sleight after defeating him., provided that he collected enough EXPs to level up.
