After your Dive to the Heart, Data-Sora is taken to Destiny Islands.

You are first introduced to Bug Blox by Selphie. After the cutscene, talk to her again to start a side quest, where you must destroy a number of Blox. Then, go west to find Wakka and he'll ask you to destroy a Rare Prize Blox on a floating platform of Metal Blox. Do so to obtain a HP+ 2 chip and learn about new block types. Install your newly-gained chip into your Stat Matrix and report back to Wakka. He will now ask you to find Tidus, who is on the small island out-shore. Jump above the sea-shack to trigger a cutscene, where the cloaked man returns. Afterwards, you'll need to locate your first "backdoor". This one is located in the part of the wall where the cloaked man walked into. Once you've found the portal, enter it and you'll be introduced to the concept of System Sectors. To complete this one, just defeat all the enemies and then redeem your rewards.

After the sector is complete, tou will see that the bridge to the far-off island has re-appeared. Go to the small island and meet Tidus who will challenge you to a battle. Defeat him.

TIDUS BOSS TEMPLATE Avoid his attacks and then counter them with a combo. Rewards: Potion

Afterwards, you'll need to go to the cave near the waterfall. But before that, immediately to your left, there is a Rare Prize Blox so destroy it to obtain a Fire command. By now you should have broken a fair number of Blox, so report back to Selphie about her mini-quest. If you've broken enough, you'll be rewarded a Defense +1 chip and if not, just break more and then return. Next, go to where Wakka is, then go further to the west until you see a normal Prize Blox. Start going up the small pathway to your right, climb up the ladder and then go a bit further until you'll see a Rare Prize Blox. Break it to obtain a Blank Chip. Now that you are done with everything, save and go to the cave near the waterfall. After some cutscenes, you'll face the game's first boss!

DARKSIDE BOSS TEMPLATE This boss is divided into three stages. In the first stage, the Darkside has only a few attacks. When he punches the ground, attack him, and if Blox are summoned, break the Prize Blox for extra Score Prizes. Use Dodge Roll to avoid his energy orb attack. In the second stage, when he punches the ground, you are given an opportunity to break three Blox attached to his arm, to briefly stun him. Use Dodge Roll to avoid the streams of Blox he releases. In the third stage, Dodge Roll around the area until the swarm of Blox stop moving and reveal their core. Attack the core during this time. Avoid its jumping attack with Dodge Roll. You can also destroy the Danger Bloxes with Fire command to get more score.

When you return

Quests

Speaking to Selphie will give you a total of three quests. The first quest requires you to retrieve a Life Preserver, which is redeemed from Destiny Islands: System Sector B for 8000 SP, and the reward is a Feather Chain. The second required you to retrieve a Jump Rope, which is redeemed from Destiny Islands: System Sector C for 18000 SP, and the reward is a Gravity Drop. The final quest requires you to retrieve a Folding Fan, which is redeemed from Hollow Bastion II: System Sector A for 1500 SP, and the reward is a Shock Fall.

System Sector B

At Scan Level 2, you can detect a new System Sector that's backdoor is located near the tree house. Its challenges are fairly straightforward although it has challenges requiring you to not take damage. Using ranged attacks like magic instead of attacking with the Keyblade avoids the chance of getting hit. After three floors, you can redeem rewards:
