Roxas was created nearly a month before Sora went into his slumber, and the events of CoM took place over the course of a few days (at least in Sora's Story). KHII even has an interesting timeline. The game is thought to have begun at the end of Summer (around late September in most countries), and ended not long after Christmas. And I think Sora slept for 11 months, making his slumber begin just before Halloween. There is no way it is possible that the whole of Kingdom Hearts takes place on the 25th of September. Yes, it would be the day that Halloween Town's events take place (and maybe Atlantica and Monstro as well), but from the destruction of Destiny Islands all the way up until the creation of Roxas taking place on the same day is... confusing.
