Before confronting Rinzler, it is recommended that the player is at least level 15 and has unlocked the Counter Rush ability. Fill Sora's Command Deck with ranged commands such as Strike Raid or Circle Raid, Fire or Blizzard spells and at least one Cure spell. Dash attacks such as Thunder Dash and Spark Dive are also effective.
Rinzler is incredibly agile and it can be difficult to keep track of him in the arena. His disk throws can be blocked or evaded using commands like Dodge Roll but he rarely leaves himself open to attack. It is best to use ranged commands just after Rinzler has retrieved his disks as he can interrupt your attacks if you try to use commands whilst he is preparing to throw his disks. Rinzler will also charge at Sora and melee attack him, block his attacks and use Counter Rush to inflict damage. Don't try to chain together melee combos as Rinzler will often dodge them and immediately counterattack.
Rinzler frequently alters the arena's gravity which forces Sora to continue the fight on the ceiling. This event is always preceded by Rinzler sprinting towards the wall whilst an alarm sounds so be ready for the change. The movement controls are reversed when upside down which can be confusing, however it is easier to attack Rinzler with ranged commands as he has less room to evade them. Rinzler tends to close in on Sora at this part of the battle so blocking followed by Counter Rush can be very effective.
When the gravity returns to normal, Rinzler will jump down to strike at Sora. This attack is signalled by the camera shifting up to focus on Rinzler, giving the player time to evade his lunge. Failing to avoid this attack will result in Sora taking a large amount of damage and giving Rinzler the chance to begin one of his combo attacks.
Overall, Rinzler can be a tricky opponent but as long as the player blocks his attacks, uses ranged commands when he is stationary, and isn't thrown off by the gravity shift, he shouldn't be too difficult to beat

Rinzler is a program who appears in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. He serves as a boss for Sora in The Grid.

Tron was reprogrammed by CLU to serve him under the name Rinzler. Sora is determined to free what appears to be his old friend, but ends up being forced by CLU (and encouraged by Quorra) to fight Rinzler to free him.

Strategy
