Welcome

Hey guys and welcome to my KH2 walkthrough if you need help on KH2 then you have come to the right place. If not then you must have taken a wrong turn now get out before I release my bloodthirsty hounds on your ass

How to play

Well first you need a ps2, a working human hand, eyes and the ability to read (this is optional but it might help when it comes to the talk bubble scenes) it might also help to have the disk, a memory card and a controller oh a TV might help preferably in colour. Now this games controls are different from KH1 so here they are.

Controls

You attack using , jump using , use reaction commands using and you can use block/glide/other abilities ill go into later using . The ability to move is utilised through the left analog stick and the camera is moved through the right. Lock on is activated by tapping and opens the shortcut menu when held down. The D-pad changes command menus and commands (yes there are 2 command menus in this game, remember that because you’re going to use both of themif you don’t want your arse kicked so badly you crap out your mouth). pause’s the game during battle and lets you into the main menu out of battle while lets you use first person mode.

Reaction commands

Reaction commands are a new aspect of Kingdom Hearts 2 as instead of there being a command at the bottom of the command menu used for examine, talk etc all these come in a handy little green bar that appears sometimes when close to someone you can talk to, open treasure chests or examine things for a full list of reaction commands look here but most of them I’ll explain throughout the walkthrough.

Magic and summons and limits plus drives… holy crap

As usual magic makes return in KH2 and so do summons but there are two new commands on the menu and you will be using these the most they are limits and drives. If you’ve ever played Final Fantasy VII you’ll recognise that these are some of the best attacks in the game, limits cost your entire mp bar and lets loose major destruction. The other new aspect is drive forms (no it doesn’t let you drive cars) these are your most useful ability in the way it lets you go into a completely kick ass mode. These forms have different powers (3 of them let you wield 2 Keyblades and the other lets you shoot magic laser thingy’s) of course they take you a while to get and master but you should get them… eventually. On a side note if you see this * next to an area it means you should remember it for training purposes. Now then let’s get on to the walkthrough.

Title menu

Select new game and your difficulty level if this is your first time on a kingdom hearts game choose beginner if you’ve played KH1 before choose standard or if your awesome (or really really stupid) choose proud mode then choose the rest of your preferences and watch the opening video.

The First day

Now who's this guy you might be thinking well that’s Roxas and he is a special boy. Now let’s watch this cutscene and we find out that their ______ are missing so let’s explore the town. Now you learn how to do stuff I already told you so there’s no need for to tell you what to do. Now we go to the sand lot watch another cutscene and get to choose our first weapon (YAY) now you have 3 choices here, on the left we have a staff that no one cares about this boost magic in the middle we have sword with a guard this boosts defence and on the right we have the sword of awesomeness that boosts attack what you choose depends on what game difficulty you playing, if on beginner choose what ever, if standard go for either attack or defence and if on proud definitely without a doubt (I sounded like Sora) go for the staff sword on the right you will need it if you don’t want to get your ass kicked. Now then you will now face Seifer this first fight is just a practice to get used to the controls so land a couple of combos on him and wait for the real fight to begin

Strategy= this is your first real battle so all you really need to do is avoid his attacks and land combos the one attack you need to avoid is his jump attack which is used when he jumps in the air, if you keep avoid his attacks or parrying them (when you attack at the same time) you should be able to keep landing combos on him keep this up till he’s down.

Now that’s over with you’ll see a cutscene where you get a picture taken and HOLY CRAP WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT THING. The cut scene will carry on and you will end up in the woods outside twilight town follow the white thing through the woods until you reach the old mansion and prepare to fight Dusk

Strategy= let’s kill this bum hit a couple of combos and he’ll go do- WHAT THE HELL WHY ARENT I HITTING IT don’t worry keep trying until a cutscene comes up and suddenly data comes out of nowhere surrounds your crappy old bat that doesn’t hit anything and HOLY **** (not a place to remember just yet) Roxas got a Keyblade this things done for, just attack this guy until he goes down take your rage out on him well until he dies that is. After he’s dead he will drop yellow orbs (munny) and green orbs (health) now a cut scene will play and the enemy will explode into… photos? What the hell is going on, oh wait that’s who the thief was that bum I’m glad you killed him… but wait why are all the pictures of Roxas guess we’ll find out tomorrow possibly.

The Second day

That was a good sleep now let’s hit the beach… but we’re broke. Today ain't a fighting day (well except for the bees) it’s a working day… sorta well if you have no life you can make 800 + munny for 1 AP point or 2000 munny for 2 AP. Now the jobs in the area you start in are: mail delivery, grandstander, cargo climb. And the jobs in Tram Common are: poster duty, bumble buster and junk sweep . but you actually only have to do one job then head up to Station plaza and talk to Hayner, watch the cutscene and go to bed.

The Third day

Yawn lets hit the beach today possibly, watch the cutscene, save and head out to the street to encounter… another cutscene about blah blah blah shopping blah blah come with bl- freeze oh crap disks broken end of walkthrough who’s that person… oh that’s Namine we’ll find out about her later right now let’s carry on with the cutscene and eventually you’ll end up in the sand lot with a bat facing a dusk we know how this’ll turn out so just attack a couple times and then get thrown into your first real challenge.

Dive to the Heart

If you’ve played KH1 then you’ll know this area. You are presented with 3 weapons. The Dream Sword, The Dream Shield and The Dream Rod. Like the first game the weapon you choose determines the way you gain your abilities except you don’t have to give anything up in return. The weapon you choose turns instantly into the Keyblade.(if you chose either the staff the guarded bat or the offensive bat choose the dream weapon that matches with it because usually you seem to take more damage with opposites or whatever) now more dusks will invade the pillar destroy them and move through the door, open the treasure chests while killing dusks until you reach the next door. Now watch the cutscene and face your first true boss

Strategy= this is your first boss battle, the battle begins with you being captured by the enemy so tap triangle like there’s no tomorrow the first reaction command is Key Counter this will hit him in the face the next one that comes up is Lunarsault after it throws you in the air wait a minute or so for it to knock you of the pillar then get ready to use Break Raid now attack its head until it gets up, when it swings its arm jump and tap triangle until you reach its head then land one combo and tap triangle again. Repeat this until it goes to ground and starts summoning little creatures attack them to restore health then keep tapping triangle and landing combos you may have to repeat the earlier reaction sequence after a while the beast shall fall and you will be released from the awaking while having the block ability under your belt this concludes day 3.

The Fourth day

Its struggle day so let’s kick butt. Here are the rules of struggle=

• collect your opponents orbs by attacking but don’t get hit or you will lose some.
• if you run out of hp you haven’t been reading this walkthrough and disgust me no cookie for you you lose and have to restart the match
• kick ass
• not much else

Talk to the ref over by the board he’ll tell you what I just did but in a way less boring way now go into the ring talk to the fat guy and prepare to fight Hayner (I’m not gonna do a enemy bar on him because you don’t need it) after you beat him you’ll see a cutscene of Seifer getting wasted by Vivi (after this if you head into the side alley you can kick Seifer’s butt) your next match is against Vivi do the same as you did with Hayner but be careful Vivi’s harder than him after you win time will freeze Vivi will turn into a dusk dogs will rain from the sky and 2012 will happen kick dusvi’s butt and a black coat will appear and say's his name is Axel and heaps of confusing stuff… we should kick his butt for confusing us (you don’t need a enemy box for him yet because he’s like Hayner without the balls orbs and with cooler hair) then when you beat him some weird dude wearing a scarf when it’s like 90® out they start arguing and Roxas calls out his friends names time returns to normal and stuff like that. Now on to the championship match against Setzer (he’s actually easier than Vivi for some reason) same as usual kick butt, win championships, go to the top of the bell tower, fall off, meet Kairi and end the day.

The Fifth day

So let me get this straight Roxas falls of the bell tower survives and dosent break any bones… what a hard guy. Any way its off to Sunset Terrace to find the seven wonders of Twilight Town (which I find weird seeing as your in Sunset Terrace and not Twilight town) the first wonder is already done for you so you just have to find the rest. The second one is over in the alleyway go to the back of the wall and press triangle now avoid the balls that fly out the wall until you reach the back again and press triangle. The next one is at the tunnel system just keep attacking the Vivi clones until they’re all dead. Now head over to the waterfall but first jump on top of the tram by double tapping triangle, stay on top of it until you reach a building with a treasure chest on top open the treasure chest grab the item and go to the waterfall. What you have to do here is attack the shadow roxas until it falls. Now head to the top of sunset hill and investigate the bag when it starts to move tap triangle to get on and keep tapping until the bar at the top goes to zero. now keep watching the cutscene to find wonder number 6 and where to go for number 7. Head over to the haunted mansion and watch the cutscene, this ends day 5.

The Sixth day

• (you should be at least level 4 and have the scan ability equipped)

This is the weirdest day yet. During the cutscene Hayner, Pence and Olette don’t seem to notice Roxas and even run straight through him. When he walks out side he is surrounded by dusks and Axel reappears. He asks some questions, they prepare to fight and time freezes yet again then that weird dudes voice comes out of nowhere. Run towards the mansion while taking down dusks and assassins when you get to the mansion watch the cutscene get in side and go to the back wall to pick up some treasures in here and in the first door to the left when you entered. Now head up the stairs on the left, pick up a treasure chest and go through the door on the left, watch the cutscene, save and exit. Now run all the way to the other side of the room while picking up treasures and into the room that is directly facing you watch the cutscene and head through the door watch another cutscene of roxas going spas on the computers and go through to the next room, kill the enemys and prepare to face axel with a little twist.

WARNING!! Make sure you have the elven bandanna equipped (you should of picked it up earlier)and potions.

Strategy= this battle is different in the way that you have two Keyblades the Oathkeeper and Oblivion. When the battle starts Axel will start by changing the arena floor in to one that gives him the advantage. Keep attacking until he disappears into the flames when that happens lock on and keep tapping triangle this will change the arena back to normal keep attack him until he says” you wont forget this” when this happens avoid him at all costs (when you land a combo on him and launch him into the air a reaction command will appear use this to land major damage.) after he uses his limit land a couple of combos until he goes down then a cutscene will play.

When the cutscene finishes head through the door and watch another cutscene then head through the last door and watch the last cutscene. When this finishes the game logo will appear and the game will properly start (yep this was all a tutorial). Congratulations on beating the tutorial you deserve a cookie but now the game starts for real.
