I haven't quite got the fine points down, like...when, or where... It just kinda kicks in whenever it wants to.

Development

Beat, along with Neku and Joshua are the first characters to appear in the Kingdom Hearts series who originated from something other than Disney, Final Fantasy, or Kingdom Hearts fiction, although they are from another game that is property of Square Enix, as well as being designed by Tetsuya Nomura.

Origin

Daisukenojo "Beat" Bito is a character from Square Enix's The World Ends with You. Beat is a harsh and reckless person (and quite dense) despite being good at heart. He really cares for his little sister Rhyme, who constantly keeps Beat's rash attitude in check. He first shows up with Rhyme to help Neku and Shiki as players, and formed an alliance. After Rhyme saved Beat's life and is erased, Beat joins the Reapers and often appears to challenge Neku and Joshua to fight on the second week. His voice actor is Crawford Wilson.
