Riku's Glider is the aero-transportable vehicle that appears in Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+, Riku commandeers it in The World That Never Was during the second battle with Xemnas on the Altar of Naught. It is only seen during the battle against Xemnas's Colossal Dragon Nobody. c It is unknown what happens to it after the battle nor how it arrived at the castle.
Story
After the corridor of darkness leading to Destiny Islands closed. Xemnas attacks the Keyblade wielders. After the ship destroys part of the upper tower of the castle Riku notices the glider and runs towards it closely followed by Sora. The two then continue to follow Xemnas on the Glider until they face him in the ship's cockpit.
Design
The design for the glider is done after Sidecar motorcycles where the driver rides in a set on the main portion of the vehicle while driving, and a secondary passenger rides in a separate seat. This same design is used for the glider. Riku drives while Sora stands on the side appendage using his keyblade to fight off incoming enemies. Two Nobody emblems adorn the glider, one directly infront of the driver's seat and another one on the floor of the sidecar.
Features
Laser
This weapon allows the Glider to shoot multiple lasers from a sharp pointed pod at the bottom of the Glider.
Mega-Laser
The Mega-Laser is only activated by filling the Mega-Laser bar by using Energy-Block to convert the offensive lasers from enemies into energy to power it up.
Energy-Block
This feature allows you to block offensive lasers from enemies, additionally it can also power up the Mega-Laser for use prominently.
Trivia
- It has never been explained how this glider arrived at The World That Never Was nor how Riku knows how to control the mechanism.
