A good way is to stock up on Ethers and Hi-Potions and keep them in the Shortcuts, along with magics like Thunder. When Sora is in the real island, use Thunder like there's no tomorrow, until the MP runs out. If still on the real world, use an Ether to make the pink MP bar go faster, then while it's going, combo Zexion like mad until the blue MP bar returns. Keep using Thunder, and repeat.
