Dark Matter is a rare material used in Item Synthesis in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix. It can only be found in chests, synthesized, or won as a prize for mini-games during the course of the game.
It may be the inspiration for the Dark materials that appeared in Kingdom Hearts II.
Chest Locations
- Wonderland - Tea Party Garden
- Agrabah - Main Street
- Monstro - Chamber 6 via the White Trinity
- Halloween Town - Graveyard
- Neverland - Hold via the Yellow Trinity.
- 100 Acre Wood - Tigger's Giant Pot
- Hollow Bastion - Waterway, Great Hall
- End of the World - Giant Crevasse
Prize Requirements
- Deep Jungle - Beat all five courses in Tarzan's Slider.

Item Creation
Dark Matter can be created (contrary to the laws of physics) by synthesizing nine Lucid Fragments, a Gale, and two Mythril.
They are also used in many of Final Mix 's revised recipes. Dark Matter becomes part of making Megalixirs, Power Ups, the EXP Bracelet, and Ultima Weapon.
