Rapunzel first appeared in the 2010 Disney animated film ''Tangled'', inspired by the protagonist of the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale. Rapunzel is the lost princess of Corona who was kidnapped as a baby from her parents Queen Arianna and King Frederic by a greedy woman named Mother Gothel, who seeks to use the magical powers of Rapunzel's hair to live as long as possible.
