Aqua: Difference between revisions

Realizing that the Castle of Dreams has been swallowed by the darkness, Aqua roams the Realm of Darkness to uncover the source behind the strange occurrences. Furthermore, she also notices that time does not pass in the Realm of Darkness, and therefore does not know what is happening in the Realm of Light. Once she reaches the Castle of Dreams, she finds an illusion of Terra.

Having encountered his illusion, Aqua heads to another section of the Realm of Darkness that has incorporated [[Dwarf Woodlands]] after its destruction in the [[Realm of Light]]. There she finds an illusion of [[Ventus]], sleeping in the glass coffin in which [[Snow White]] used to rest. As Ven's illusion disappears in light, a Mirror appears. As Aqua approaches it, she sees her own reflection on it that is dragging her into the Mirror, where Aqua ends up in a labyrinth inside the Mirror's chamber. Once having solved the mystery inside the Mirror's world, Aqua fights against her own reflection, whom she could defeat easily. Afterwards, a portal appears on the other side of the chamber which allows her to exit it.

Once Aqua leaves the Mirror's chamber, she finds herself in the [[Enchanted Dominion]] of the Realm of Darkness, seeing illusions of Terra and Ventus walking away from her together. Regardless of the fact that both of them are phantoms, she sternly follows them through the Enchanted Dominion until she finds an army of [[Darkside|Darksides]]. Having defeated them, she finds the illusion of Terra and Ventus.

As Aqua approaches them both, Terra is interacting with her this time while Ven remains dormant. Since she can see them both, Terra cannot see Ven, telling her that he and Ven are just images created by her heart. Moreover, he warns her that his heart has "ties to the darkness" and that Xehanort is trying to locate Ven. As Aqua tells that she hid Ven in a safe place, he suddenly transforms to [[Terra-Xehanort]], asking her of Ven's whereabouts in the [[Chamber of Waking]]. Aqua unconsciously reveals his location to Xehanort; however, Terra's heart emerges and restrains him from causing any harm, saying that Xehanort is a part of him who is using his body so that she can reveal Ven's location. Then a Darkside appears from the darkness, dragging her and Ven's illusion into the darkness. The last thing that Aqua could see is Terra trying to defeat Xehanort.

Floating unconsciously in the void, she is woken up by Mickey. After a brief reunion, they are attacked by a swarm of Heartless, but manage to defeat them. Mickey is surprised that he has finally found Aqua, and she explains how her sacrifice to save Terra-Xehanort from sinking into darkness trapped her there. Afterward, she joins him on his journey through the Realm of Darkness to find the Keyblade. Eventually, the pair arrive at the wreckage of Destiny Islands and are intercepted by a massive swarm of Heartless at the entrance to the Secret Place. After defeating the Heartless, they enter the cave and discover the Keyblade, but just as Mickey acquires it, they spot Riku, whose body had been stolen by Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, being chased by a swarm of Heartless. Aqua uses her Master's Defender to ensnare the Heartless, allowing Mickey and Riku to escape, but leaving her once more all alone.

The Heartless have ejected her back to the shores of Destiny Island where she manages to defeat every single one of them, with the desire that whoever is going to end up in the Realm of Darkness that she will become their Wayfinder. After defeating the Heartless swarm, she is lying on the shore of Destiny Island and watches the sunset until she realizes that this world starts to dissolve since Sora and Riku have defeated [[Ansem, Seeker of Darkness|Ansem]] and closed the Door to Darkness, leading to every world being lost in the darkness to be restored in the Realm of Light. Once Destiny Islands has fully dissolved, Aqua once again sinks into the darkness, not knowing where she is going to end up at next.
