High-Speed Step (高速ステップ Kōsoku Suteppu ) is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. It allows the user to dodge attacks with a forward dash.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, High-Speed Step is an innate movement ability that is executed by double-tapping the control pad in a direction during battle. In Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, it is executed by pressing and can also be used outside of battle. In combat, High-Speed Step grants invulnerability for about as long as Riku's feet are off the ground; in Dark Mode, no invulnerability is given.
